Focus on two outcomes
Drive co-innovation to facilitate 5G Monetization &
Open Digital Ecosystems
Define Open Standards for ecosystem management
and interoperabilityExpand Catalyst program to: ▪ Enable co-innovation with
target industries (working with relevant industry bodies)
▪ Address key challenges to 5G monetization e.g. federation
▪ Prove and iterate essential ecosystem standards and open source projects
▪ Validate key technologies e.g. Blockchain vs. use cases
Create/adapt open standards to:▪ Define the Telco & Ecosystem
Business Architecture & Business Capability models
▪ Reduce complexity of interoperability and E2E management of open digital services
▪ Unify existing standards (from other bodies) to provide an easy to use, comprehensive set of solutions
▪ Provide pragmatic guidance on use of game-changing technologies

Business Architecture & Capability Models
Ecosystem Applied Assets
The Business Architecture& Capability model workgenerates the criticalelements of BusinessArchitecture, both fromthe CSP and DSPperspectives, including:
• Vison & Mission• Concepts & Principles• Capability Model• Value Fabric Map
These assets can be usedto plot the digitaltransformation strategyand enables a morecohesive co-operationbetween business andtechnical partners which isa critical success factor ofdigital transformation.
We will collaborate with therelevant organizations to build areference architecture, APIcomponent suite and datamodels for smart cities in a firstinstance. We will aim to provethe value of this pattern ofassets in an ecosystem contextand repeat for other verticals aspriorities and bandwidth allow.
As service providers seek newrevenue streams and to entercomplex digital ecosystemscenarios, interoperability andswift, simple, secure data andprocess flows are essential. Thiswork will produce assetsfacilitating the application ofenablers such as:
• IoT API component suite• Smart City Data Models
Ecosystem Co-Innovation
Business Assurance
Exploration of cross-ecosystemco-innovation with differentindustry verticals, exploringhow TMF member capabilitiescan be applied to make avaluable impact in anecosystem context. Thisactivity will work alongside acollaborative project which willaim to create the relevantapplied assets for theseverticals, with a clear ambitionof enabling interoperability andseamless movement of dataacross ecosystems.
Our ambition is to evaluate andgain greater insight into howtraditional areas of businessneed to adapt to cope with thechanging needs of organizations, driven by 5G and digitalecosystem revolution as well as,emerging technologies such asAI and Blockchain.
