Feature Protection System – Reason Code 5 PasswordCharges

 Appl ication  All Cat® generator sets requiring a reason code 5 password

Description Caterpillar is announcing the introduction of charges for reason code 5 passwordrequests on the Feature Protection System (FPS). These charges are beingintroduced to reflect the administration costs incurred by Electric Power Division(EPD) and increased power output available following re-rating of generator sets.

Pricing Information  A flat rate of $USD500 will be charged for all requests for Reason Code 5passwords. In cases where passwords are requested for re-rates, there will be anadditional charge of $USD200 per kVA change.

 Availabi li ty Charges will be effective from 01 Oct 2012.
