Profess ional Profile Rebecca is an educator and professor, editor, writer, and researcher. Areas of interest and expertise are school librarianship, digital tools for learning (PK-12); instructional design and online teaching/e-learning; and professional development for librarians and educators. Rebecca’s Library and Information Science scholarship aims to build excellence in school libraries and youth library programs in order to support the learning and information needs of young people, and to communicate the value of libraries to stakeholders. The two main streams of research that contribute to this overarching theme are (1) the use of digital tools for student learning, information, and engagement and (2) bridges between PK-12 education and the academy of school librarianship, including the education and professional development of librarians and school leaders.
