Dear Colleagues, Department of Chemistry, Mohanlal Sukhadia University and Indian Society of Chemists and Biologists jointly announce 19th ISCB International Conference (ISCBC-2013) on "Recent Advances and Current Trends in Chemical and Biological Sciences" to be held at Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur, Rajasthan during 2nd -5th March, 2013. The event is co-sponsored by Pesticide Industries Ltd., Udaipur.

Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur is named after the renowed and very vibrant Chief Minister of Rajasthan Late Shri Mohanlal Sukhadia ji. He was a great visionary and known as the arch i tec t o f modern Rajasthan. It is one of the prestigious University of Rajasthan, functioning as an important academic centre since 1962. It is a multifaculty University and imparts higher education in all the streams of Science, Arts, Law, Commerce and Management. It has 31 Post Graduate Departments, 185 affiliated colleges scattered in the districts of Udaipur, Dungarpur, Banswara, Chittorgarh, Rajsamand, Sirohi and Pratapgarh. The University has a very strong infrastructure in terms of enriched libraries, e-library, computer centre, well equipped laboratories, play ground etc.The faculty members are doing excellent work in academics and research. All the departments continuously organizing National/ International level seminars and conferences every year.

The Department of Chemistry w a s i n c e p t e d w i t h t h e University imparting UG and PG courses as well as Ph.D. d e g r e e i n t h e f i e l d s o f c o o r d i n a t i o n c h e m i s t r y , chemical kinetics, nuclear chemistry and synthetic organic chemistry. The Department has done 25 research projects, published more than 1750 papers, 50 reviews and produced 430 Ph.Ds to mention a few highlights of the Department. It has well equipped laboratories and is presently chaired by Prof. A.K. Goswami. The major research fields of the Department are focusing on Metal Inorganic Chemistry, Synthetic Organic Chemistry, Chemical Kinetics and Computer Aided Drug Designing.

In context of Rajasthan, Udaipur is the most sought after tourist destination of the state, Udaipur had been the capital of Mewar for centuries.

Udaipur is famous for its captivating lakes, and the city has many more attractions that catch the attention of the tourists with their charm. Lake Palace of Udaipur has been accredited for being one of the most romantic places all across the globe. The massive forts of Udaipur, grab the interest of people with their sheer structure and architecture. The beautiful temples create a sense of aestheticism with their spiritual ecstasy. Udaipur also boasts of various museum, palaces, gardens, monuments and colorful festivals that allure tourists to visit the city for once. Places to visit (nearby) Lake Pichola, City Palace, Fateh Sagar, Udai Sagar, Jaisamand, Moti Mangri, Sahelio Ki Bari, Eklingji, Shreenathji Temple, Kumbhalgarh & Ranakpur.

Udaipur is on world tourist map. It is well connected by air, train and road with the rest of country. There are direct train services to and fro from New Delhi, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Agra, Gwalior and Indore. Udaipur is directly connected by air with International airports of New Delhi and Mumbai.

Abstracts not exceeding 250 words are invited for inclusion as podium (oral) or poster presentations in any of the sub areas/main topics of conference. Please state the title, author(s), author affiliation and choice of mode (poster/podium). Abstracts submitted for competition shall be assigned to the poster sessions. Confidential peer-review shall determine acceptance or rejection. Abstract prepared in MS Word format as provided may be sent to the convener at the E-mail:

Guide Line For Preparation Of Abstract: Title (14 pt bold, centered), Presenting Author, Other Authors, Senior Author* (12 Point, Normal), Department Name, Institute name, Institute address (10 point, Normal), e-mail: (9-point, normal), The one-page abstract should be typed in 10 point, Times New Roman, normal font, single space. Use A4 size paper with margins-top: 1 inch; bottom: 1 inch; left; 1.25 inches; and right; 1.25 inches. Cite the references in parentheses e.g. Kotha et al. [1] in the text. References should be typed in 9 point, normal font, and single space. The entire abstract including text, figures, equations, structures, schemes and references must be sent as a MS-WORD DOC file.
