We’ve enjoyed the opportunity to reconnect with this wonderful family while Allen has served as Visiting Missionary at OC this semester and want to let them know how much we will miss them when they return to the mission field in early January. Please come to visit and enjoy some dessert before dinner! Family Matters: Crucial Commitment Phil Brookman #mrccFamilyMatters 1. Membership is _________ to the language of __________. Girls Retreat Recap Two weekends ago, 91 youth group girls, 27 sponsors, and 1 brave bus driver dad (Randy Cochran) went to Tulsa for our annual Youth & Family Girls Retreat. Our theme was “Created” and we focused on how we are God’s creation. We discussed how we are His workmanship and created for His purpose. We started the retreat Saturday morning here at the building with worship, lessons, crafts, and lunch. Girls created mugs, colored in the new trendy adult coloring books, and worked puzzles together. In conjunction with our theme, we then traveled to Tulsa and stopped at the Philbrook Museum to see many works of art people had created and the beautiful outdoor gardens. Next, we were on to the hotel for some down time and then to the mall for shopping and dinner. Everyone received new long-sleeved shirts designed by Kenzie Northcott. On Sunday morning we worshiped together and shared communion. The girls led all the songs, prayers, and scripture readings, and it was a blessing to worship together with such beautiful voices. Thank you to all the drivers, sponsors, and teens for attending the retreat and making it one of the best weekends of the year! I look forward to it again. Remember why you were created!
