Fairy Tale Power of Reading Stories: Weeks 1 and 2: Goldilocks and the Three Bears
Weeks 3 and 4: We’re Going on a Bear Hunt
Weeks 5 and 6: Jack and the Beanstalk
*Each week, the children will be engaging in Literacy, Maths, Expressive Arts and Understanding of the World activities associated with these 3 key stories.
PE: Every Friday is our PE lesson. Children can come to school in their PE uniform.

Weekly Maths Week 1: Weighing & measuring size and learning key words for comparing (eg. smaller/fewer/more/heavier/lighter)
Week 2: Ordering by length or height (tall/short/smaller/longer/wider/higher)
Week 3: Adding vocabulary (more; plus; add and positional words behind/next to/under/over/on/through/above/below)
Week 4: Counting and placing numbers to 20 in order. Continue with adding and subtracting
Week 5: Counting skills – sequencing numbers; Ordering 3 or more items by length or height; Everyday language related to size.
Week 6: Orders 3 or more items by length or height; Describe relative position (behind/next to, etc)
