Camera

0 I will be using my own Nikon P7000 camera. I like it because it is a high performance camera as it delivers outstanding image in a less intimidating form factor than a SLR. It has a wide-angle 7.1 x zoom NIKKOR lens which is giving a 28mm to 200mm range, with optical Vibration Reduction, two ED glass elements……

0 Also I have been using my camera for nearly 5 years……so that I would know a lot about it and I am feel more confident and comfortable to use my own camera.

Photoshop

0 I will be using Adobe Photoshop to edit my pictures and create the pages on my magazine. As Photoshop allow me to edit the pictures( E.g. contrast/Lighting/Effects), which can makes my magazine looks more realistic and looks more better. As I have been used Photoshop for my GCSE coursework last year and I have got a good result from that, I feel very confident in terms of the skills and the production progress. In additional I will also use Adobe InDesign to create the layout of the magazine. However, I haven’t used InDesign since year 10 so I am going to look at my technical research and try to remember how to use the software again. By using the Photoshop I will first crop out the background from the image and using the tool to increase the brightness/contrast/colour within the image. Then I will use a suitable font type to type out the coverlines as well as using suitable colour.

Lighting

0 Studio lights- I will use the studio light because it can gives out high key lighting which could makes a better quality of pictures

0 Soft box- All the various light types create and diffused light by directing light through some diffusing material, or by “Bouncing” light off a second surface to diffuse the light.

0 Snoot- is a tube or similar object that fits over a studio light or portable flash and allows the photographer to control the direction and radius of the light beam

0 Beauty dish- is a lighting devices that uses a parabolic reflector to distribute light towards a focal point

0 flashgun-It is a lighting devices that gives out more range of light from the camera.
