Have Service Level Agreements in place.

Don’t find vendors, find partners!• Valentines Day is over, don’t fall in love with tools.

• Once your recruiting process is set, find tools and vendors that encourage efficiency and productivity within the process.

• When you have identified those opportunities, define the outcome and ROI.

• Once desired outcome and ROI are established have a framework to evaluate vendors just as you have a framework to hire candidates. Framework should include:

• who evaluated• stability of the vendor• what problem the vendor solves• supporters and detractors among those who evaluate• post purchase impressions• information that should be communicated to the vendor regarding product evaluation.

• Evaluate all choices, not just those in front of you.

• Establish a criteria using SMART goals (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and time bound)

• Decide and Execute (if the scope warrants consider a pilot program to verify your decision)
