The Division of Student Affairs collaborates with students, faculty and staff to create welcoming, supportive and challenging environments that maximize opportunities for student learning and success. Through high quality programs, the Division facilitates student development, celebrates differences, and promotes civic and global responsibility.

Welcoming New Students
Transitioning to College
Each year the Division of Student Affairs offers a variety of programs, services, and activities designed to welcome new students to campus and immediately connect them with the FSU community.
One of the first traditions for new FSU students is Orientation. FSU offers several key programs welcoming families and educating new students as they begin college life.

Seminole Sensation Week Participation by Year

Living on CampusResidence life offers students opportunities to enrich their academic and co-curricular experiences at FSU. Staff and Resident Assistants provide support and programming to new students, and elections for the Inter-Residence Hall Council (IRHC) took place in September.
