STAFF SELECTION COMMISSION
Recruitment of Constables(GD) in CAPFs and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles ,
2013– Supersession of final result declared on 22.04.2014 and declaration of
revised final result – FEMALE CANDIDATES
Result of the Examination was declared on 22.04.2014. After declaring the
results, some discrepancies were noticed and therefore the Commission has decided to
revise the result incorporating necessary changes. The discrepancies pertained to
about 600 RME FIT candidates. In addition there were also discrepancies for 300
candidates of ER and 363 candidates of WR and the revised data sent by the Regional
Offices has been considered.
2. For qualifying candidates for Medical Examination, following 3 Lists were
issued :-
List I : Candidates qualified against State-wise vacancies
List II : Additional candidates qualified against vacancies reserved for
Naxal/Militancy affected Districts or lower cut-off
List III : Additional candidates qualified against vacancies reserved for Border
Districts or lower cut-off
Total number of female candidates qualified for Medical Examination in the results
declared by the Commission on 28.11.2013 for main exam and on 18.12.2013 for
re-examination as under:-
List-I : 8,269 (State-wise)
List-II: 724 (Additional for Naxal/Militancy affected Districts)
List-III:709 (Additional for Border Districts)
List-I had no common candidate with other 2 Lists. Between List-II and List-III there
were 17 common candidates. Each candidate was to be called for Medical
Examination only once.
3. As per the scheme of the Recruitment, the final selection of the candidates is to
be made in order of merit in each category in each state. The minimum cut-off
percentage marks in the written examination are 33% for SC, ST and OBC candidates
and 35% for UR and Ex-Servicemen candidates. In respect of female candidates there
were some states/UTs, border, naxal/militancy affected areas where availability of
candidates with these qualifying marks was limited, while in others large number of
such candidates were available. Domicile in a State/UT is an eligibility condition laid
down for consideration against vacancies in the State/UT. Keeping these factors in
view Commission fixed different qualifying criteria for different States/UTs for
female candidates.
4. Break up of the data (including medical result) received by the Commission is
as under:-
FIT in DME – 5,222
FIT in RME – 1,039
Total FIT - 6,260
5. The Select list has been prepared as per state-wise vacancies with further
reservation for candidates of Border Districts/ Naxal or Militancy affected
districts within the state. Candidates belonging to Border/Naxal or Militancy
affected districts have been considered against vacancies in such areas or in the
State concerned against General Vacancies as may be advantageous to them.
Allocation to various CAPFs has been done as per merit cum option of the
candidates, subject to availability of vacancies in State/UT concerned,
reservation for Border district and Naxal/Militancy affected districts and
category-wise reservation. In case the candidate is not getting selected for her
opted preferences, she has been considered for all the other CAPFs in default
order of preference as ABCDEF i.e. orders of preference in the Notice.
6. Result pertaining to the State of Kerala (State code 18) is not being
declared due to stay order issued by Hon’ble High Court of Kerala, Ernakulam
in W.P. No. 5741/2013 filed by Dishan & Others Vs SSC & Others. The result
being declared hereby is subject to the outcome of the writ petition pending
before the Hon’ble High Court of Kerala.
7. Following are details of State-wise, CAPF-wise, Vacancy type wise
(G-General / B- Border Districts / N-Naxal_Militancy affected districts), Category
wise number of Vacancies, number of filled vacancies and Lowest marks, Marks in
Part-A secured by last selected candidate selected against the corresponding
vacancies. The rows pertaining to 0 reported vacancies have not been included in the
tables :-

Note 3 : Candidates were considered only against the vacancies reserved for the State
Code, Border district/Naxal_Militancy District code to which they belong.
8. Tie-criteria used for preparing result is:-
(a) The tie is resolved by the Commission by referring to the total marks in
the written examination i.e. a candidate having more marks in the
written examination gets preference over the candidate(s) with less
marks.
(b) If the tie still persists then the marks in Part A are referred to
i.e. a candidate having more marks in Part A is given preference.
(c) If the tie still persists, the candidate older in age gets preference.
(d) If the tie still persists, it is finally resolved by referring to the
alphabetical order of names i.e. a candidate whose name begins with
the alphabet which comes first in the alphabetical order gets
preference.
9. There are total 172 candidates whose result is kept provisional by RDs in the
verified data Concerned RDs/DDs will be required to check the eligibility of such
candidates thoroughly before their nomination. It has been reported that some
candidates could not be subjected to a few medical tests by the Medical Board during
RME. Selection of such candidates is provisional and subject to their qualifying in the
remaining medical tests.
10. The List of candidates is subject to their fulfilling all the eligibility conditions
prescribed in the Notice of the said examination and also subject to, among other things
thorough verification of their identity with reference to their photographs, signatures,
handwritings, etc. on the application forms, admission certificates, etc.
11. For candidates belonging to reserved categories for whom certain percentage of
vacancies are reserved as per policy of the Government, the category status is indicated
against their roll numbers. It is important to note that some of these candidates have been
declared qualified only in the category mentioned against their roll numbers. If any
candidate does not actually belong to the category mentioned against his name, he may
not be eligible to be included in the list. It is, therefore, in the interest of candidates
concerned to contact immediately the respective Regional Offices of the Commission in
all such cases where they do not belong to the categories against their Roll numbers.

available on the Commission’s Website: http://ssc.nic.in. Candidates marks/ their Medical
result/ preference etc. is placed on the website.
