THANK YOU! MANY THANKS TO ALL THE GENEROUS VOLUN-

TEERS AND THE COOKS WHO WORKED HARD TO

MAKE LAST SUNDAY’S EASTER PARTY SUCH AN

ENJOYABLE EVENT.

SPECIAL THANKS ALSO GO TO THE PERFORMING

ARTISTS.

THANKS FOR HAVING ATTENDED THIS ORATORY

FAMIY EVENT!

CHOIR CAMP

The Institute’s 5th Annual Summer Choir Camp will

take place August 18-23 this year, at the Mount St. Jo-

seph Retreat House in the beautiful hills of Maple

Mount, Kentucky. Registration is now open. Children

from all apostolates are invited to take advantage of this

fun and intensive immersion in Sacred Music. As in pre-

vious years, a canon of the Institute will offer daily Mass

and be available throughout the week for confes-

sion. The camp’s daily routine includes instruction in

vocal technique, Gregorian chant, Latin, music theory, as

well as Rosary walks, many active sports and perform-

ance opportunities. As space is limited we encourage

you to register as soon as possible.

SURSUM CORDA: CALLING ALL YOUNG

ADULTS! JULY 25-28, 2014

Sursum Corda is a nationwide initiative to foster the

spiritual lives of the young adults in the apostolates of

the Institute of Christ the King. For the fourth year in a

row, Sursum Corda is offering a social and spiritual

weekend for young people ages 18 and up, July 25-28,

2014. The event will be held on the beautiful grounds of

Mundelein Seminary just north of Chicago, Illi-

nois. Canon Aaron Huberfeld, Rector of St. Mary’s Ora-

tory in Wausau, will be the chaplain for the camp, and

several other canons are sure to be there as well. The pro-

gram includes daily Mass, prayer in common and oppor-

tunity for confession, faith formation classes and discus-

sions, and other social activities for young men and

women. The weekend begins with check-in at 3:00 PM

on Friday, July 25 at Mundelein and will end on Mon-

day, July 28 at 12:00 PM.

Please register online at www.institute-christ-king.org.

The cost is $250 per person, payable by check made out

and sent to: Institute of Christ the King, 6415 S. Wood-

lawn Ave.,

Chicago, IL 60637-3817. Please also visit institute-christ

-king.org to see pictures from last year’s Sursum Corda

weekend, which was a tremendous success.

SAINT MONICA CIRCLE SUPPORTS VOCA-

TIONS TO THE CONSECRATED LIFE

The St. Monica Circle was founded as a part of the

Archconfraternity of Christian Mothers almost a hundred

years ago. It is open to all and all ages. Members pledge

to offer at least one week-day Mass of their choice (need

not be the same day each week) and their Holy Commun-

ion for “vocations in the Oratory,” reciting the two offi-

cial prayers after the Mass for this intention. This pledge

may be renewed each spring. These prayers are said pri-

vately by the individual, not as a group. A missed Mass

need not be made up for.

We need spiritual vocations at least as much as we need

good Christian families. The Church needs physical

growth as much as spiritually growth. All are invited and

urged to participate in this very urgent spiritual work by

becoming a member of the St. Monica Circle. Please

sign-up in the vestibule. You will be contacted to re-

ceive your official prayer card, once you signed

up. Please call Grace at (920) 826-7232 with any ques-

tions.

Seminary Collection

God reward your generous love for our

priestly seminary in Gricigliano.

You raised $6,711.00.

Your future priests and all the priests of

the Institute thank you from their

hearts!

Happy Mothers Day!

God bless and reward you heroines

and greatest benefactors of mankind! Thank God for our mothers, especially for our

heavenly one.
