Red Cross Relies on Efforts of Over 400,000 Volunteers

Today, the Red Cross has more than 400,000 volunteers across the United States. The organization celebrates the work of these individuals during National Volunteer Week, held each April. To facilitate communication with volunteers, the Red Cross has a free app, which provides an overview of key tasks and alerts volunteers to urgent needs when they arise.
