Have you seen your nose turn Red any day?

No! Well then, here is a day that turns your nose Red, just like the one of a clown. Before that,

Lets know what the “Red Nose Day” is all about.

Red Nose day is a huge fundraising event organized by The British operating charity known as

Comic Relief, founded in 1985 by a comedy scriptwriter Richard Curtis and comedian Lenny

Henry. The Red Nose Day is the main way for Comic Relief to raise money. The concept of Red

Nose Day was created by Wendy Crossman, the fundraising director of Comic Relief.

Red Nose Day is a cheer for all the students as a lot of schools in the UK treat this day as a semi-

holiday. The schools also have a red-themed non-uniform dress code, where as a student you can

wear your favorite red attires. They also wear a Red Nose, made of plastic and foam which are

available on exchange for a donation.

The students and staff of EFIA, Torbay Campus embraced the good cause of Cosmic Relief this

Friday, the 15th of March 2013. All the students of EFIA, Torbay campus came to school in their

favorite red pyjamas and super hero outfits.

As a part of the Red Nose Day, the GCSE art students of EFIA, Torbay Campus made several

advertising posters to highlight the cause. The cooking club of EFIA, Torbay Campus made

yummy cakes and cookies to sell on the day.

It did not stop here,

The first year IB students of EFIA, Torbay Campus volunteered in selling Red Noses and tutor

group discussed some of the issues that Comic Relief dealt with Africa and UK.

The Red Nose Day at EFIA, Torbay Campus was a great success, with all the yummy cakes and

the Red Noses sold out by lunch time. The students of EFIA, Torbay Campus were able to raise

£200 for the cause – an achievement!

fund they raised for the cause!
