About PymwymicPymwymic is the Put Your Money Where Your Meaning Is Community of impact investors: a community of families, philanthropists and individual investors who support for-profi t companies creating global solutions. We jointly invest through an investor-owned impact fund. Our capital is funding the new economy. We share our experiences through community gatherings and give back our learnings to the impact fi eld. Private wealth holders and institutional investors can invest through our fund, learn from our community, support our work through donations and donate seed capital to startup impact entrepreneurs.

WELCOME
REDESIGNING OUR FUTURE
As impact investors, we dream to build a more sustainable future. Yet we live in a world that is consuming more than it can provide. We know little about the origins of the products we purchase, which raw materials they consist of and how they have been produced. We live in an era of digital connection, open source technology, augmented reality and instant gratifi cation. All this infl uences our way of thinking, our relationship with our friends and family, and our perspective of the world around.
What if we had the power to redesign our future? What does the world we want to leave behind for our children look like? And how do we get there? We ask you to imagine: what is your hope, your intention for the future generation?
Welcome to our 24th anniversary and our eighth annual conference. We are part of a global movement to build a new economy that serves people and planet. We are grateful that you are with us on this journey.
In the past year, we were excited to witness that our movement is spreading. We have seen numerous Field Building initiatives taking form. To name a few, GIIN research has demonstrated a profi table upside to investing in impact, the Impact Investing Network Map is mapping the ecosystem and the Impact Management Project is building common ground for impact measurement. The GIIN – and with it, the term impact investing itself – turned ten years old. Major asset owners as well as large corporates are showing signs of movement. There is progress. But there is also still a long way to go.
We, the community of Pymwymic, build the Impact Field by gathering, connecting, sharing, learning and inspiring to take action. Together. Will you join us?
Member Host Team of 2018 & Pymwymic Team Anaisa, André, Boudewien, Myleen, Nickel, Stephen
It is nice to have that community feeling when at Impact
Days, knowing that you are not alone on the journey.

REDESIGNING OUR FUTUREAlexandra Korijn, Christian Felber, Frank van Beuningen, Dr Scilla Elworthy Moderated by Margaret van Beuningen - McGovernFour different perspectives, three different nationalities, several generations, feminine and masculine wisdom and a diverse set of skills and knowledge. This opening panel is a lively discussion, jointly exploring the future we wish to redesign.
ANTHROPOCENE: WHERE ARE WE HEADING TO?Alexandre Fernandes | Museum of Tomorrow It is time to ponder where we are now as the human species. The amount of change likely to occur over the next 50 years will be greater than that of the past 10,000 years. We will explore the signifi cant ways mankind is affecting the planet. The choices we make today will shape our future.
FUTURE VIEWS
1. Capitalism 2.0: Investing in the Age of InterdependenceJames Perry | PanahpurIndividualism and consumption are the ideas at the heart of our economic system. But we are not alone, and we are more than consumers. A gentle revolution has started. We are waking up…
2. Promise and Harm of Technology Paula Goldman | Omidyar NetworkTechnology has enormous potential to create social good, but we’re increasingly concerned with its unintended consequences. How can we identify solutions that maximize technology’s contributions to a healthy society?
3. Voices from the Field: Framework for Regenerative CapitalismJohn Fullerton | Capital InstituteSeveral years of research and experiential learning with thought leaders and entrepreneurs to understand the nature of a healthy economic system has led to the framework for a Regenerative Economy.
OPENING DINNER 24 APRIL 2018
MORNING PLENARY 25 APRIL 2018

The Clean Money Revolution Joel Solomon | Renewal Funds
My Life’s Work: Changing the Way We Eat Dr Gunhild A. Stordalen | EAT
Grasping the Essence of Nature’s Mirror Prof Dr Matthijs Schouten | University of Wageningen
PYMWYMIC COOPERATIVE: PAVING THE WAYRogier Pieterse | PymwymicPymwymic started as a grass root movement of pioneers believing in a triple bottom line for businesses. Today, almost 25 years later, we still inspire transition to a new economy and pave the way so others can join. We are a co-owned impact cooperative: we learn, share and invest together.
5
Prof Dr Matthijs Schouten | University of WageningenThe way we perceive nature and her relation to ourselves, shapes the way we see the world. It is a core belief deeply intertwined in our thinking. It infl uences the way we interpret problems and fi nd solutions. We will explore our core beliefs, feel the connection with Mother Earth and begin to understand what our belief system is built upon. This session is about feeling, sensing and being.
Are you done talking and ready to take action? Get in touch with a select number of partners in impact funds in our Fund Room. Get updated and check out new investing opportunities. *

TRANSFORMATIVE POWER OF FILMChris van der Vorm, Jenny Elissen | Impact CinemaIn times of digital connection and increasing power of (social) media, we should not underestimate the substantial infl uence of those who direct the narrative. How can we make use of the transformative power of fi lm to spread our impact message? This creative session will help you understand your own lens, make you aware of the lenses of the media in front of you and let you experience for yourself what fi lm can do.
HIGH TECH SHAPING A SOCIAL FUTUREArnaud Saint-Paul | Give, Ayon Hazra | Qlikchain, Michel van Genderen | Erasmus MC,Raphaël Cherrier | Qucit, Tey Al-Rjula | TYKN, Vijay Kandy | Decibel.LIVEModerated by Hanna Zwietering | ABN AMROReady to meet the change makers? Six entrepreneurs will show how their business is working to serve people and planet. You will learn about the concept behind blockchain and see how virtual reality and artifi cial intelligence is put to work to improve lives.
UNLOCKING THE POTENTIAL OF TECHNOLOGYDiederick Croese | SingularityUWe humans aren’t great predictors of the future. For most of history, our experience has been “local and linear”. Not much change occurred from generation to generation. Against our intuition, today the future is unfolding not linearly but exponentially, making it challenging to predict just what will happen next and when. Ray Kurzweil: “The future is widely misunderstood. Our forebears expected it to be pretty much like their present, which had been pretty much like their past.”
TRACK 1: LEVERS OF CHANGE
TRACK 2: THEMATIC DEEP DIVES
ECONOMY FOR THE COMMON GOODChristian Felber | Bank for the Common GoodThe core of the confusion is that we are unclear about the goal of our economy. In this highly interactive session, Christian Felber explains the core constructs of an economic system based on a holistic approach. In this system, money is no longer the ultimate goal, but a means and end. And the end the common good. Be ready to participate in discussion and take part in a group exercise.
BRIDGING THE SCIENTIFIC GAP: A SUSTAINABLE AND HEALTHY DIETDr Gunhild A. Stordalen | EAT Moderated by Riëlla Hollander | TriodosWe lack scientifi c targets on how to turn food into a solution for planetary and human health. The EAT-Lancet Commission on Healthy Diets from Sustainable Food Systems brings together 20 world-leading scientists to unravel the complex mechanics of the food system in a new report, scheduled for publication this year. The Commission investigates the connections between diet, human health and the state of the planet and outlines a common set of scientifi c targets for the food system. Dr Gunhild A. Stordalen will explain the importance of this research and why nothing short of a global transformation of the food system is required to achieve the UN SDGs.
9
SAFEGUARDING VALUES WHEN OWNERSHIP CHANGESEva Gouwens | Fairphone, Joel Solomon | Renewal Fund, Jurriën Appers | TriodosModerated by Prof Dr Harry HummelsWe say we protect the mission of the companies we invest in. But what does that really mean and how does it work in the hustle and bustle of daily life? This session is a lively discussion between two investors and an entrepreneur. Be prepared to take part in the discussion.
TRACK 3: SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
ANATOMY OF AN IMPACT DEAL - level: advancedBéatrice Delperdange | KOIS Invest, Dimple Sahni | Anthos, John Fullerton | Capital InstituteModerated by: Ivo Knoepfel | OnValuesPanel discussion for more advanced impact investors dealing with the complexity of doing impact deals. Three experts, all from different backgrounds, will share real life transactions: how did they deal with the complexity of each transaction and what were their learnings? Case examples will cover: a company in distress, a social impact bond and a result-based investment vehicle for SME fi nancing.
SEED STAGE INVESTING: DEALING WITH CHALLENGES - level: getting startedAd van der Sluijs | Both Sides Now, Merijn ten Thije | SYOUModerator: Béatrice Delperdange | KOIS InvestOn stage conversation between entrepreneur and investor of how they went through several attempts to raise fi nancing for a promising business. Several deals fell through and the company was eventually forced to a halt. They will share their refl ections: what were their struggles and what have they learned?
IMPACT MEASUREMENT AT PRACTICE - level: moderateAdrian de Groot Ruiz | True Price, Hanna Zwietering | ABN AMRO, Michel Scholte | True Price,Rogier Pieterse | PymwymicWould you like to know how much social value your investments are generating? Are you struggling with the various options for impact measurement methodologies? In this interactive workshop, ABN AMRO and Pymwymic, will facilitate a discussion on impact values, inspired by True Price, based on an Integrated Profi t & Loss.
CLOSING PLENARY
LEADING THE WAY: AWAKENED LEADERSHIP Dr Scilla Elworthy | Business Plan for PeaceAfter four decades of working with individuals who exemplify transformative leadership such as Dr Desmond Tutu and Nelson Mandela as well as having witnessed many lives being wrecked by violence, Scilla Elworthy has come to understand what kind of leadership is required to change the world: “The radical mastery of one’s inner being and deep self-knowledge are prerequisites to build a safer, more equal future.”

OUR SUPPLIER COMMUNITY
A NETWORK OF IMPACT-DRIVEN BUSINESS PARTNERSIn travelling the way to a brighter future, Pymwymic is accompanied by impact-driven business partners. We are supported and strengthened by this professional network of business partners. We carefully select the partners we work with. Our business partners are values-aligned and know their way around in the impact fi eld. Their impact-specifi c expertise is valuable in understanding how to embed impact realisation in legal structures, how to extract up-to-date management information to be able to measure impact, how to make your impact visible and tell your true impact story, how to work with families and family businesses, and more. We are grateful for the support of Benvalor Legal Advice, Landgoed De Horst, Finance Matters, Makmende, and TCS Fund Services.
