Thank you for opening this brochure. We hope that it gives you a great insight into who we are and why we do what we do.

We’ve been making inflatable SUP boards since 2008 and have only ever made inflatable boards. This focus allows us to look at the world of inflatable boards from a unique perspective and it allows you to experience a product that is designed to give you the absolute best experience possible.

We believe that owning an inflatable board should not mean you have to compromise on performance, looks or quality. We believe that the experience you get when you use one of our boards is that of an authentic SUP experience and not a low quality substitute to the real thing. Inflatable SUP boards offer the ultimate in convenience but that should not be at the expense of all other attributes that make SUP one of the most engaging and varied sports.

We’ve always thought of the design of our boards as so much more than just how they look. It’s the whole experience, how they work on so many different levels. The experience of owning an inflatable board is about storage, transportation, ease of inflation as well as on water performance. To design a board is only part of the package. We focus on all aspects to give you the very best experience from when you first pick up the bag, all the way to getting home after a session. Owning a Red Paddle Co inflatable board is about the whole package, the real deal and not some compromising experience that leaves you wanting more.

We love what we do and the opportunity to deliver you the very best inflatable boards available is what defines our very existence. We just wouldn’t want to do it in any other way.

Tec Air

Tec Air is not a product it’s a process. By focussing in on the key areas of the production process we have been able to identify ways we can improve the end result. Whether it be detailing exactly where and how the layers are bonded or how the rocker curve is applied to the board no area of the production is ignored.

The key areas of construction are inside the board. Our attention to detail on the inside ensures the best experience on the outside.

Thickness

The thickness of any board is as important as all other dimensions (Length and width). The thickness of an inflatable board is even more important as it not only has an effect on flotation but also stiffness - everybody needs and wants the stiffest board possible. The thicker the board, the stiffer it will be but depending on what the board is designed to do will depend on the perfect thickness. We have 3 thicknesses 100mm/4”, 120mm/4.7” and 150mm/6” this allows us to deliver the authentic SUP experience that we feel so strongly about. We also have a patented stiffening system that allows us to increase stiffness where necessary.

100mm/4” - This thickness is perfect for boards with a surfing orientation. It gives you better control and feel on moving water and with the RSS system you get a board that stiffer than any other board of this kind available today.

120mm/4.7” - This thickness gives a board that has the perfect volume and feel for all round use, whether it be sliding along on a wave or gliding up the creek or across the bay. The world’s biggest selling inflatable SUP board, the Red Paddle Co 10’6”, is built in 120mm thickness.

150mm/6” - This thickness gives you a board that floats high out of the water and therefore is ideal for creating maximum glide on flat water or maximum speed on the race course. Add the RSS system to these boards and you have the highest performing inflatable SUP board available.

Rocker Stiffening System (RSS)

The RSS system is unique to Red Paddle Co. By inserting stiffening battens into pockets on the side of the board we have been able to increase the stiffness of our boards by up to 40%. We use the RSS system on all 100mm/4” boards to bring them up to the same stiffness as our 120mm but still maintaining the great manoeuvre characteristics of a 100mm/4” board.

The pockets on the board are designed to keep the batten in place and are individually laminated into position.

Fins

Nothing comes close to our tried and tested iFin system. Zero warranty request since we star ted using the system mean the we remain confident that it is the best option. No tools, replacements or spares are needed for the iFin system. They deliver great performance and are the most durable fin available.

The Explorer and Race designs use a US Box system to allow for rider tuning. This is a global fin standard and so fins can easily be replaced if lost.

We have designed this board to work in all conditions, from cruising up the river to picking up waves quickly and easily. It has a similar mid point and nose shape as the 10’6” and shares similar lines throughout which means it will keep up in a group of paddlers on the flat while being more fun in waves than the bigger boards .

The 9’6” features a raised tail pad/stomp pad section which gives even more control when riding at speed. The Nine Six comes with our patented RSS system which gives unparalleled rigidity for an inflatable SUP, a true revolution in inflatable technology.

Why should the adults have all the fun? Now the younger generation have a board to call their own. Designed to deliver top quality performance for young riders up to 132lbs/60kgs. It is equally at home paddling up the river or catching the swell off the sandbar. The dual colour deck pad allows for easy explanation of foot placements and keeps the board looking like mum or dads’ board.

The Snapper also features it’s own unique deck pad design specially designed for this board.



The Ten Zero is for those riders looking for a longboard style surfing SUP. A great trim and glide board for those long sandbar waves that are so much fun on an SUP board. It tracks straight during the take off and can be threaded across sections with ease.

The Ten Zero is the result of sharing sessions with our customers and working with our team to produce a board that filled the gap between the 9’6” and 10’6”. The result is a board with a more traditional surfing feel.Ideal for riders up to 85kg, the Surfer has a nice, smooth glide across the face and paddles quickly between sets thanks to it’s trim 30” width. It is designed as a surfing SUP board but it can still be enjoyed on flat water by lighter riders below 80kgs. It’s a great all round board for riders in the 60-80kg weight range.

The name says it all – The Surf Star takes everything we have learnt from the 9’4” of previous years and applied it to create a progressive surfing outline, which gives this board the best surfing performance we have ever produced. The Red Paddle Co 12’6” Race – Faster than you thought possible.

The Red Race will amaze you, this board means business. It was used by Marie Buchanan to help her place 5th in the 2013 ISA World Race champs ahead of full carbon race boards. The Rocker line is designed to give fast glide and ride. The single nose fin helps tracking. The centre fin gives just the right amount of grip without adding drag.

The Elite Race boards

Once we knew that the 12’6” x 30” Race board was moving fast and beating many hard boards in races we star ted looking at ways to inject even more performance into a race machine. From this desire to develop even faster boards was born the Elite race series. Released as a limited edition towards the end of last season, it was an instant success. Within it’s first few races it was allowing riders to achieve podium finishes amongst a field of dedicated hard board paddlers.

The Elites come in 12’6” and 14’ sizes. Utilising our RSS system the boards are super stiff, which means you don’t loose efficiency through flex - the biggest problem on most inflatable race boards. The boards are 26” wide which means they are not for the first timer but in the right hands they are super fast.

The 14’ is also a great downwind board. It picks up swell really easily and has a great glide to it. You really have to ride it to believe how good this board is.

While the Elite series boards are not for the beginner or cruising paddler they really do open up the performance side of racing out of a backpack.

The Red Paddle Co HP Ezee Pump.

When we released the Red Paddle Co Ezee pump 3 years ago it changed the face of inflatable boards. It made inflation much, much easier. Last year we worked again with Bravo the worlds leading pumps manufacturer to produce the High Pressure (HP) version. This pump has been improved again with better seals to allow for an even better pumping experience. Now if you are capable of paddling you are capable of pumping. Almost anybody can pump one of our boards to 20 psi with the HP pump. The HP pump comes complete with a pressure gauge that js clearly marked so you can check your progress anytime. The HP pump comes with boards from 9’2” -10’6”

The Red Paddle Co Ezee Pump.

This is the pump ideally suited to putting in the high volume of air needed in our larger boards. You are able to use less pump strokes to pump up your board. It comes complete with a pressure gauge so you can check your progress anytime. The Ezee pump comes with all boards from 10’8” - 14’. You can get these boards inflated in almost half the time it would take with the HP version. For the ultimate experience you may like to also purchase a HP pump to make reaching the high pressure easier. The 2 pumps use the same connectors so the hose and gauge are interchangeable.

The Red Paddle Co Luggage system

We know that when it comes to using an inflatable board, paddling it is only part of the experience. This is why we’ve spent just as much time developing the absolute best luggage system for your board.

After covering over 50,000 miles with our boards we had a really good idea of what was needed from the ultimate bag. Our all new bag has the most significant developments yet seen with inflatable board bags. It has integrated wheels that make travelling through airports a pleasure. The hidden back pack system can be stowed when not in use and is super comfy when you need to put the board on your back. The front loading system makes packing and unpacking super simple. The internal straps make sure the board stays put while in transport. This bag truly is the ultimate solution for travel and storage.

To make things even better we have introduced the Luggage System 2.1 available separately This back pack attaches to the front of the main bag and can easily be detached for use by itself. It has a laptop sleeve, main compartment and front pocket. A great day pack for work, or school or just a day at the beach.
