    0en a note is $la4ed: its (e4 and velocit4 val es are translated into a coordinate on t0e(e4@one 'rid. If t0is co9ordinate is 8it0in a (e4@one ran'e t0en t0at sam$le is $la4ed. If thecoordinate is in em%t' s%ace then nothin! ha%%ens#
