We would like to welcome you to our 2014 bull sale. On offer this year are another outstanding set of

white and red-factor yearling Charolais bulls. Whetheryou have black, red, tan, or white cows, using one ofour bulls will ensure your herd will produce the tan or sil-ver calves that feedlot buyers were paying a premium forlast fall.

As you look through our catalogue you will see thatwe have a number of Quantum and Patriot sons for saleagain this year. You will also find a few bulls from adam that has a Quantum background and Patriot as thesire, and the results of combining these two sets of genet-ics is outstanding.

New this year, are the sons from our Betley herd bull.We purchased Betley in the spring of 2012 from HTACharolais in Rivers, Manitoba.

If you would like to view our bulls before sale day wewill be holding an Open House at the farm on Saturday,March 1st from 1 to 5pm. If that date doesn’t work foryou please feel free to give Greg or myself a call. Wewould be more than happy to show you these great bullsanytime.

Delivery:We will deliver your bulls for free within a 400km ra-dius of Didsbury. Mileage outside of this area will besupplied or arranged at a competitive rate.

Breeder Guarantee:All bulls will be semen tested prior to the sale.

Bull Boarding:If you choose to send your bulls back to the farm theymust be insured. After May 1st we will charge $3.00per bull per day to house and feed. We will waiverthese charges if you come and pick your bull up atthe farm by June 1st.

Volume Discount:$500.00 for volume buyers of 3 bulls or more.

Terms: The terms of the sale are cash or cheque payable at sale location, immediatelyafter the sale, unless satisfactory arrangements have been made prior to the sale. Theright of property shall not pass until after the settlement is made. All settlements must bemade with the clerk of the sale before any cattle will be released. All monies are inCanadian funds.Bidding: Each animal will be sold to the highest bidder. No by-bidding will be permit-ted. In cases of disputes, bidding will be reopened between the parties involved. If no fur-ther bid is made, the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted thelast bid. The auctioneer’s decision on all disputes will be final.Announcements: All announcements made from the auction block will take prece-dence over the printed matter in the catalogue. Buyers are therefore cautioned to payclose attention to any such announcements.Purchaser’s Risk: Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold.Certificate of Registration: Each animal will carry papers issued by the CanadianCharolais Association. A certificate of registry duly transferred will be furnished to thebuyer for each animal after payment has been made unless stated that there is no paper.Breeder’s Guarantee: Should any bull fourteen months of age and over fail to provea breeder after being used on females known to be breeds, the matter shall be reportedin writing to the seller within six months following the date of purchase or six months afterthe bull has reached the age of fourteen months of age. The seller will then have the rightand privilege of six months to prove the bull a breeder. No guarantee is given that semencollected from the bull will freeze. If multiple bulls are used in common pasture, no furtherguarantee than the semen test will apply. The seller is not responsible for damage caused by foreign bodies after the animal hasbeen sold nor for sickness not apparent at sale time. In no event shall the seller be re-sponsible for more than the purchase price.Exception Guarantee: In cases where the animal is subjected to any hormonal or sur-gical reproduction techniques after the sale, this guarantee shall be null and void.Settlement: Transportation charges on animals returned to the seller are for the accountof the buyer. No incident expenses such as feed, care, interest, veterinary charges, etc.will be charged by either party when making settlement. If the seller is successful in prov-ing the animal to be a breeder, then said animal will be reclaimed by the buyer at his ex-pense. Should the seller fail to prove the animal a breeder, then the buyer is guaranteeda satisfactory replacement, F.O.B. ranch or location of origin. Should a dispute arise overthe quality of a replacement animal, the sales manager will appoint a mediator.Accidents: Although every precaution will be taken to protect the safety and comfort ofthe buyers, neither the sales manager, auctioneer or consignors assume responsibility inthis matter and disclaims any liability, legal or otherwise, in the event of accident or lossof property.
