Mary’s Social Consciousness

Mary showed her concern for others when she accepted truthfully without hesitations the will of

God for her. Her Faithfulness gave her the courage to take the baby that the Holy Spirit will

come upon her without even thinking what will her parents and Joseph think when they will see

Mary as a pregnant woman. She didn’t even think of the consequences that will happen to her

after that because she knows that the baby that she will have in her womb is the savior of all

humankind. The two things that were underlined here was the faithfulness of Mary to God and

Concern for the people whom her child was born to save.

In the Crucifixion, Mary cannot do anything to save her son, Jesus Christ. She showed respect to

what the people think even though this was her worst fear that she believed that it was so fast

that the time has come that when God said that his son will save all humankind from their sins.

Mary accepted every pain when she sees that her son was suffering very hard while others are

just laughing. She said that this is the time to repent and have mercy for his son is the also the

son of our dear God but no one else listens.
