NAME : MORAY ANAK JOHNNYNRIC : 940328-13-6519MATRIX NO : 125019SUBJECT : Introduction to EducationCODE : PN 3311 D1TASK : REFLECTION
First of all, I would like to ask for apology from my beloved subject lecturer Mr. Ahmad
Marzuki Abdul Rahman. I realized that I had been busy all this while but that would not be an
excuse for me to procrastinate my coursework progress. I admit that I am lazy and easy to
lose interest while doing something which I do not really like especially coursework. Although
it is just a simple task, commitment is something that will lead to our success in most things
we do. Once we lose commitment in something, it is hard to get it back. Same goes with me.
Actually, one month long is more than enough for me to complete this coursework. However,
I do not know how I suppose to start with the critical essay. Nevertheless, I fully blame myself
for not being initiative and responsible towards this task. I should have consult with the
subject lecturer regarding this matter. I really regret what had done. I feel sorry for subject
lecturer because I had disappointed him so badly. From now on, I should have learnt some
lesson from this mistake.
Secondly, I would like to express my gratitude towards God for the mental and
physical strength He had gave me while completing this short coursework. Before I can
elaborate more about this, I would like to use this opportunity to thank everyone who had
sincerely contributed their efforts towards this work. Next, I would like to show my
appreciation towards my subject lecturer for his guidance and help while searching for the
relevant and related information. Same goes to my course mates, Muhammad Raihan
Sapi’ee, Dayang Nur Atiqah Osman and others who I do not mentioned their names but had
together put their effort in this project and make sure that it is done and be submitted.
During this semester, I had received a task from my lecturer ask me to complete a
short coursework regarding his Introduction to Education subject (PN 3311 D1). This is
compulsory for every student in their foundation year because it carries marks and this mark
is the pass that will determined whether we can sit for our final examination before entering
degree program. The purpose of this coursework was to fulfil the need of this subject. It also
teaches us some values that we will never get during lecture. That is why lecture alone is not
reliable until we do some practical works on it. Other than that it also let us practise some
good self discipline. Discipline is one of work ethic that we all have to obey. Without it, we are
nothing since it is the basic foundation for everything we do in life.

I fell excited while working on this task even though it is tough for a weak student like
me. Some might feel distress if they are pressurize by something that they do not like. But,
for me I take this as challenge because as far as I know challenges will make me a better
person. At the same time, I can have the chance to understand well the content of the
National Philosophy of Education of Malaysia reflects my contribution as IPG’s student
through National Education Development (PPP). This important for all teachers-to-be to learn
and understand the fundamental of this philosophy as we are going to conduct the plans in
order to see transformation in our education system and to make sure that Malaysia’s
education system is one of the best in the world.
Now only I realized lucky we are being expose to the national philosophy of education
through this subject. This is not only essential for us to know but to prepare ourselves, body,
mind and spirit to serve and develop the society for a better living. Nelson Mendela once
said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” I
believe in what I am doing now is important for my future generation and the nation.
Overall, I am satisfied with all the efforts I have put on this work as I already tried my
best to present the answer although I am not really sure on what I had written in this fifteen
pages essay. I hope I could do better next time and try to improve myself. With that, I thank
you.
