Definition

My Words A refugee to me is a person

who has left, or has been forced to leave, his state and move to another state because of a well-founded fear for his/her safety. Refugee is a person who seeks protection, or asylum, in a country because they fear persecution (based on race, religion, political views, etc.) from their home country.

Dictionary

a person who flees for refuge or safety, especially to a foreign country, as in time of political upheaval, war, etc.

Noah Nehemiah

Noah means: Survivor

Because in the bible Noah was the patriarch survivor of the Great Flood who drifted in the ark for 40 days of rain.

Nehemiah means: Exile

Because in the bible there was a prophet assigned to lead the Jews on their return to Jerusalem from exile in Babylon.

Noah Nehemiah’s Story

Noah Nehemiah lived in Indonesia. He was a priest who worshiped Jesus and Jesus alone.

But at the time Noah

was alive a guy named Apollo(destroyer) was ruling and Apollo had a rule that anyone that was living on his land must worship Buddha.

Noah and his family

and friends did not follow that rule and started helping people to see that Jesus is the only God.

Apollo who disliked Noah and his followers banished them from Indonesia.

With nowhere to go Noah and his family left Indonesia on a small brown wooden boat.

On a small boat with little to eat Noah and his family rowed to Brunei .

At Brunei Noah’s son got ill and died.

Brunei who did not want the sickness to spread sent them away.

For forty days Noah and his family/friends rowed until they got knocked unconscious by a big wave.

Still unconscious Noah and his family/friends washed up on the shore of Philippines.

In Philippines ,Noah regained conscious along with two other of his friends.

Noah and his two friends then found out that they were the only ones that had survived the dangerous trip to Philippines.

Not wanting to stay in a place where their family and friends had died, Noah and his companions left Philippines.

From Philippines Noah and his friends travelled to Papua New Guinea (by boat).

Noah and his friends arrived at Papua New Guinea at night and left their boat at the port.

Knowing it was night and that people was sleeping Noah and his friends tried to be as quiet as possible.

But the guards who were guarding the port thought Noah and his friends were smugglers.

The guards aimed their guns at Noah and his friends and fired.

Knowing they weren’t welcome Noah and his friends hurried back to their boat.

Once a few meters

from the port ,Noah found out one of his friends has been shot in the arm.

Since they didn’t have a first aid kit they had to bandage up the wound with a piece of cloth.

Along their journey to Australia the guy who got shot died of blood loss and Noah’s other friend died due to starvation.

Noah who managed to survive the trip got placed in a refugee camp along with the other refugees.

Noah stayed in the refugee camp for 3 years and 40 days. It wasn’t till then that he got his visa and was allowed to leave the camp.

Noah was so happy that he had finally got a visa that he died.

Timeline

Day one: banished from Indonesia due to belief in Jesus

Day two: on boat towards Brunei

Few days later: arrived at Brunei

Same day: Noah’s son die

Next Day: get sent away by Brunei

Next Day: set out on boat to Philippines

Forty Days later: get knocked unconscious by big wave

Forgotten what day thanks to big wave: washed up on shore

Next Day: Philippines finds shipwrecked boat

Same Day: Noah and two friends found out they were the only survivor

Same day: fix boat,

collect supplies Next day: leave

Philippines- not wanting to stay in the place where they found out their family and friends had died

After days of rowing: arrive a Papua New Guinea at night

Same night: left their boat at the port while trying to be quiet

Few seconds later: Guards think they are smugglers

Next minute: Guards fire guns at Noah and friends

Same Night: Noah

and friends feel unsafe and leave Papua New Guinea

Out at sea: Noah’s friend realize he has been shot in the arm

Still out at sea: Noah bandages friend’s arm with cloth

Morning: head towards Australia

After days of rowing: Noah’s friends die due to blood loss and starvation

Few days after: Noah arrives at Australia

When Arrive: get

taken to a refugee camp

3 years and 40 days later: Noah finally gets visa

Same day: Noah dies of happiness
