Notes: Our collecting missions have been successfully principally inhills and mountains villages,

and especially at poor farms family that were very interested togrown their seeds for several years.

Tobacco local forms (grown in great number before 2 decades)were present in very limited sources. The Farmers opinion was:the narrow interest and activity of foreign tobacco companies hascaused an ‘’erosion’’ on local tobacco forms used by Albanianfarmers.

First: Collecting members + gene-bank specialist have analyzed

quality and quantity of seed samples obtained for each crops:(Seed cleaning; seed moisture content and seed drying; seedquality testing; etc).

All the samples (of accessions) that were in accordance withgene-bank protocols have been delivered to the Gene Bank.

It has been prepared a list of accessions accepted by Gene Bank(base collection 8) and a list for the sample 1 accession decidedto be multiplied first (all Helianthus annum sample).

Collecting results were reported by Progress-report _10, sentto Coordinator of the Project and to Chair of IWG.

In an other more large report (in Albanian) are presented indetails all collecting activities (agronomic, financial, gene-bank management, etc) realized for industrial crops in Albania.

SEEDNet Coordinator, Albania Gene-Bank and some ATTChave organized today’s Workshop (15-12-2010) to inform thecollecting results of industrials local forms and cereals.

Note: For Albania it is the 2nd year to have concrete results incollecting of industrial crops.
