Coming from the Command Conference in January 2021, I came back recharged, full of zeal and optimism. I wanted this zeal, this fire, this optimism in me shared to my men, that is why the first activity I had realized for the Month of February 2021 was the Seminar on Nurturing Positive Values and Intensifying Commitment in the Workplace which was attended by the DEOs and Admin-Technical Personnel. The One-Day Personality Development Seminar vis-a-vis Employee Empowerment with the theme, “Braving the Challenges on the New Normal, the PDEA Way” awakened the “drive” of every personnel and created a more positive outlook for the effective decision making of employees, not to mention, boosted their performance confidence. Following said seminar was the conduct of Firearms Proficiency which standardized, developed and increased familiarization of all personnel in handling firearms. For Supply Reduction Efforts, for the month of February 2021 alone, this Office came up with twelve (12) High Value Targets (HVTs) and two (2) of which were High Impact Operations (HIOs). One of the two (2) HIOs was Marijuana Eradication operation that was participated by joint elements of PDEA, PNP and Philippine Army which took place in Loccong, Tinglayan, Kalinga that led to the confiscation of 30 kilograms of marijuana dried leaves, 21,600 pieces of fully grown marijuana plants and 1,000 grams of marijuana seeds of with total DDB Value of Php 7,945,000.00. On February 24, 2021, operating units for the High Impact Operation, an accomplishment last February 18, 2021 in Quezon, Isabela and was featured in Tutok PDEA Kontra Droga anchored by no less than the DG himself, DG WILKINS VILLANUEVA and Sir Aljo Bendijo of PTV 4. On February 19, 2021, ROCBDC declared eight (8) barangays as drug-cleared in two (2) municipalities in Isabela Province, followed by another ROCBDC Deliberation on February 26, 2021 held at the SP Hall, Tuguegarao City which declared eight (8) drug-cleared barangays in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.All these accomplishments were achieved with the concerted efforts of everyone and as the skipper of the ship, I am more than proud of my men. With the unfortunate event that transpired recently, I know it made a big impact on every DEO and employee of the Agency. May each one of us gets strength from our fallen and wounded comrades and do our mandates the best that we can. I also urge every person in the region, especially PNP and the rest of the OLEAs, stakeholders and fellow busters to continue their support in our campaign against drugs. Lastly, I would like to encourage my fellow busters to dust themselves off and bring their uniforms into greater heights despite the unfortunate events that transpired as our stakeholders are
