Yapı Gereçleri has been on the forefront of global sustainability initiatives. In 2010 it launched the Blue Life Integrated Sustainability Management System initiative which measures, reports and improves the sustainability credentials of all Eczacıbaşı Building Products (EPB) business processes.

In 2013, 3.7 million m3 of natural gas and 7.2 thousand tons of raw material saved, as well as the prevention of 118 tons of CO2 emissions

Hydromx is a revolutionary nanofluid that achieved a step change in heat transfer efficiency with its enhanced heat transmission capability, generating

substantial savings (up to 35%) in energy consumption of closed loop hydronic heating and cooling systems, and so also a decrease in CO2 emissions (up to %25). Its products can be used in extreme temperature conditions without the need for additional chemicals such as antifreeze. In addition to the direct benefits, the product has the potential to create its own

ecosystem of new Cleantech products with enhanced energy efficiency due to improved hydronic heat transfer properties.

Successful Turkish Companies in EBAE

Vestel developed the nano chrome coating process (which integrates

Ultraviolet curing coating and Physical Vapor Deposition sputtering processes) for LCD TV and smartphone products to avoid producing waste and using dangerous chemicals.

It was the first company of its kind, and that it has managed to significantly

reduce the cycle time for the coating process, whilst eliminating an environmentally harmful process and replacing it with a more ecological, economical and sustainable solution with replicable potential.

In 2015, 430 tons of raw material saved = 1,118 tons of CO2e saved
