CREDITWashington University is recognized by the NATA Board of Certification, Inc. to offer continuing education for Certified Athletic Trainers. This program has been approved for a maximum of 7 hours of Category A continuing education. Certified Athletic Trainers are responsible for claiming only those hours actually spent participating in the continuing education activity. According to the educational levels described by the CEC Committee of the NATA, the following continuing education course is considered to be Advanced. *Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants may also use the CEU’s given by the NATA.
COURSE OBJECTIVES1. Discuss epidemiology of cartilage injuries to the hip, knee, and ankle in soccer athletes.2. Identify mechanisms of injury and clinical presentation of cartilage injuries to the hip, knee, and ankle.3. Describe non-surgical, surgical, and rehabilitation treatment options for cartilage injuries to soccer athletes.
