ADVANCED “VENOUS INTERVENTIONS” Practice Course for Vascular SurgeonsApril 19 & 20, 2019, Fairbanks Hall, Indiana University School of Medicine, Indianapolis, IN

The Midwestern Vascular Society is pleased to offer the ADVANCED “VENOUS INTERVENTIONS” PRACTICE COURSE for VASCULAR SURGEONS, to be held April 19 and 20, 2019 at, Fairbanks Hall, at Indiana University School of Medicine, Indianapolis, IN

This course has been designed for practicing vascular surgeons to fine tune their approach to venous disease. This course offers didactics coupled with small group workshops on both superficial and deep venous topics; and will teach a tailor-made approach to managing venous disease in terms of patient selection, approach, device selection, managing complications and radiation protection. This is a unique and intimate course which offers lectures by expert faculty and workshops allowing for hands-on learning.

The Advanced Venous Interventions Course will be held at Fairbanks Hall at Indiana University School of Medicine.

At the end of the Course, participants will be able to: ■ Apply a comprehensive open and endovascular approach to venous

disease. ■ Describe strategies for evaluating superficial and deep venous disease. ■ Identify how to incorporate an algorithmic approach for managing

venous disease. ■ Identify an appropriate patient selection, device selection to match

the venous pathology; ■ Asses the cost associated with new technologies and how to provide

cost-effective patient care.

Accreditation StatementIn support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Indiana University School of Medicine and the Midwestern Vascular Surgical Society. Indiana University School of Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical

Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

PhysiciansIndiana University School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 8.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

RegistrationThe course is open to Members of the Midwestern Vascular Surgical Society and vascular surgeons who are not yet members of the Society. Registration is limited to the first 20 registrants. To pre-register, visit the Society’s website at www.midwestvascular.org (Registration fees include: Course instruction and materials and all meals including Dinner on Friday evening April 19th and Lunch on Saturday, April 20th).MVSS Member Physicians: $400Non-Member Physicians: $500

Pre-registration closes on Friday, April 12th. Written requests for refunds will be honored through April 11th. After this date, the Society regrets that it will not be able to process any refunds or refund a registration fee if the physician does not attend.
