4. Enter Business Info

You will be able to add additional users within the MTE once your application is approved. For now, enter the email of the person responsible for managing the application. Make sure to document your username and password securely — this is how you’ll log in to the MTE.

TIP Now that you’ve created a user account, you can save and exit the application and return to it later using your username and password created in the previous step. All required information must be entered to continue to the next screen.

TIP Need to review or edit something from a previous screen? You can now save your work and return to the previous screen using the “save and back” button.

5. Enter Admin InfoYou will be able to add additional users within the MTE once your application is approved. For now, enter the email of the person responsible for managing the application.

6. Verify SDO StatusIf your organization is in the Supplier Diversity Office’s Directory of Certified Businesses, select “yes” and the following window will automatically open. Enter your SDO Client ID, or if you don’t know it, click the link to find your ID from the SDO Office.

For all other organizations, select “no,” then “save and continue” to progress to the next screen.

7. Fill in the Details

As part of the application process, all organizations are required to demonstrate tax compliance via Certificate of Good Standing issued by the MA Department of Revenue within the past year. If you need to request a new COGS, follow the link to Mass Tax Connect.

Once you’ve submitted the COGS, click to accept the Terms and Conditions.

Finally, clicking “Save and Continue” will submit your application. Once submitted, you will not be able to make any further edits to the application.

9. Success! After submitting the application, you’ll receive a notification on the MTE and a confirmation email at the address(es) entered into the application.

The approval process takes several weeks. You will be notified by email once your application has been approved.

While your application is pending, you may log in to the MTE to check your status.

To Check Application Status

Log in, and Navigate to your DashboardThere is a status indicator in the upper left–hand corner of your dashboard that remains visible regardless which tab you visit within the dashboard

While your Application is PendingThe indicator will be orange and read “Pending.”

Once your Application is AcceptedThe indicator will be green and read “Accepted.”
