This year the Geoffrey Sawer lecture is scheduled to take place on Thursday, 2 November, the evening before the Annual Public Law Weekend. The Lecture is entitled ‘Transnational Challenges to Constitutional Law: Convergence, Resistance, Engagement’ and is the ninth in the annual Geoffrey Sawer lecture series organised by the Centre for International and Public Law (CIPL). CIPL is delighted that Professor Jackson, an internationally renowned comparative constitutional law scholar has agreed to present the lecture. The series commemorates Geoffrey Sawer whose academic interests spanned the work of the Centre and who was the first full-time Professor of Law at The Australian National University.

CANCELLATION POLICY Cancellations must be notified in writing to the Conference Secretariat. a full refund less $50 processing fee will be granted if notification is given before Monday 30 october 2006. after this date no refund will be given, however a substitute delegate will be accepted. Details of the substitute delegate should be forwarded to the conference Secretariat by Monday 30 october 2006.
