6.1 Motion to approve, on the recommendation of the Superintendent, the following

monthly expenditures and reports:

6.1.1 Approve the September 29, 2014 bill list in the amount of $2,652,467.94.

6.1.2 Approve the September 15, 2014 payroll in the amount of

$2,850,516.04. 6.1.3 Approve the Board Secretary’s Report for the months of July and

August 2014. 6.1.4 Approve the Treasurer’s Report for the months of July and August

2014. 6.1.5 Approve the Transfer Report for the months of July and August

2014. 6.1.6 Motion to certify that no major account or fund has been over-

expended in violation of N.J.A.C. 6A:23-2.11(b) as of August 31, 2014 and that sufficient funds are available to meet the district’s financial obligations for the remainder of the fiscal year.

6.2 Motion to approve on the recommendation of the Superintendent the following Personnel action items:

6.2.1 Accept the resignation of Lila Baboomian, part time Teacher Aide at Mt. View School effective October 16, 2014 with appreciation for two years of service to the Mount Olive Township School District.

6.2.2 Accept the resignation of Terry Collington, Homebound Instructor effective September 17, 2014 with appreciation for three years of service to the Mount Olive Township School District.

6.2.3 Approve an unpaid medical leave of absence for Karen Cowan, Lunchroom/Recess Aide at Tinc Road School effective September 22, 2014 until released by physician. Benefits are not provided by the Board.

6.2.4 Approve a leave of absence for Dawn Maguire, certified Lunchroom/Recess Aide at Mt. View School effective October 1, 2014 through April 1, 2015.

6.2.5 Approve a paid maternity leave of absence using accumulated sick days for Mary Fisher, Elementary School Teacher at Mt. View School effective January 5, 2015 through February 6, 2015 and further approve an unpaid childcare leave of absence effective February 9, 2015 through May 8, 2015; anticipated return May 11, 2015. Dental/Medical benefits will be provided by the Board without interruption.

6.2.6 Approve a paid maternity leave of absence using accumulated sick days for Shannon Carlson, Teacher of Science at Mount Olive Middle School effective November 3, 2014 through January 14, 2015 and further approve an unpaid childcare leave of absence effective January 15, 2015 through March 31, 2015; anticipated return April 1, 2015. Dental/Medical benefits will be provided by the Board without interruption.

6.2.7 Approve the appointment of Ashling McNally as a long term substitute Elementary School Teacher at CMS Elementary School at the per diem rate of $80.00 for the first twenty consecutive days increasing to $150.00 per day on the 21st day effective October 9, 2014 through March 30, 2015, serving for Kate Brady on a maternity leave of absence. (Budgeted)

6.2.8 Approve the appointment of Cheryl Moser, part time Teacher Aide at Tinc Road School at step one (1) - $12.41 per hour* on the Aide Salary Guide, four (4) hours per day, five (5) days per week effective September 30, 2014 for the 2014-2015 school year, replacing Daniela DeLisi. (Budgeted).

1. ACTIVITY NAME: Marauder Madness Club Assistant

2. PURPOSES OF ACTIVITY/SERVICE:

To provide the students with an opportunity to experience pre-production, production and post-production of a live show.

3. GOALS AND EXPECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS: To prepare students for the pressure and demand of live television, by producing a live show that is aired on Mount Olive’s cable channels.

4. NUMBER OF STUDENTS EXPECTED TO BE INVOLVED: 14-31

5. WAYS STUDENTS WILL BE RECRUITED: TV 2 and 3

6. FREQUENCY OF MEETINGS OR REGULARLY SCHEDULED MEETING TIMES: Every morning at 6:45 am

7. TIME SPENT IN PREPARATION: 2-3 hours per week (without technical difficulties)

8. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: During the school year:

1. Students will set up for morning shows every morning. 2. Students will produce a live morning show every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. 3. Business Action Items for Board Meeting September 29, 2014

6.4 Motion to approve on the recommendation of the Superintendent the following Business (finance and facilities) action items:

6.4.1 Approve the attached 2014-2015 budget transfers. 6.4.2 Adopt the following resolution to award the bid for the Portable

LED Curtain: WHEREAS, the Mount Olive Township Board of Education, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-1 et seq., publicly advertised and solicited for sealed bids for a portable LED curtain; and WHEREAS, in accordance with that advertisement, the bids were received, publicly opened and read aloud in the Office of the Business Administrator, 89 Route 46, Budd Lake, NJ 07840 on September 23, 2014; and WHEREAS, PixelFLEX, LLC submitted a bid in the amount of $209,791.57 for a portable LED curtain; and WHEREAS, PixelFLEX, LLC has been deemed to be the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for the LED curtain; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent, that the bid be awarded as follows to: PixelFLEX, LLC of Nashville, TN in the amount of $209,791.57 subject to the terms and conditions of a contractual agreement pending review by Board counsel; and which the Board President is authorized to execute on behalf of the Board.

6.4.3 Approve a Joint Transportation Agreement between Mendham

Township School District and the Mount Olive Township School District to transport Mount Olive students to St. Joseph’s School for the 2014-2015 school year. The cost to the Mount Olive Board of Education will be $6,019.20 for this service.
