As background, the WIC program received a 2-year extension of the 5-year grant that ends September 30, 2021. However, no additional funds were included to cover the cost of living increases. That being the case, the NYSWIC Central and Regional offices have recommended that those agencies with available funds in the FFY 2021 grants (October 1, 2020 – September 30, 2021) use those funds to purchase supplies and pre-pay certain expenses that would be due after September 30, 2021. Allegany County has availability in the FFY 2021 WIC grant budget which is the result of accruals from 3 grant funded positions that were on medical leave in FFY 2021. FISCAL IMPACT: By applying the above expenses to the 2020-21 grant budget, additional WIC flexibility will be realized in the 2021- 2022 grant budget. RESOLVED: 1. That the Agreement between the County of Allegany and KOS, Inc., for maintenance of a Canon color digital copier and fax for the Department of Health WIC Office at 112 Park Avenue, Wellsville, NY for the period of April 28, 2022, to April 28, 2023, is approved. 2. That the County agrees to pay $240 per year for black and white copies (20,000 copies) and $132 for color copies (1,200 copies), with any overage to be billed quarterly at $.012 per black and white copy and $.11 per color copy. 3. That the Chairman of this Board is authorized to execute said Agreement.

INTRODUCTION NO: ___________________ (Clerk’s use only) Committee of Jurisdiction: Human Services Date: July 7, 2021 The Health Department requests approval of the annual renewal of the maintenance agreement between the WIC Program and KOS, Inc. 278 Route 6 West Coudersport, PA 16915. The maintenance agreement is for a Canon IKRC2501F Color Digital copier and fax machine that is located at the WIC office at 112 Park Avenue Wellsville, NY 14895. This maintenance agreement will be in effect from April 28, 2022 – April 28, 2023 at a rate of $240.00 per year for black/white copies with an allowance of 20,000 copies for the year. Overages will be billed at $.012 per copy. Overages will be assessed at the end of the year. Color copies will be billed at $132.00 for the year with an allowance of 1200 copies. Overages for color copies will be billed annually at a rate of $.11 per copy. This maintenance agreement includes parts, toner and labor and has been utilized by the WIC program for many years. This agreement has been reviewed and approved by the Information Technology Department. I will be happy to answer any questions you have regarding this request. The Health Department requests approval of: The renewal of the WIC Programs annual contracts with the facilities that allow the WIC Program to hold monthly WIC clinics at eight different sites within Allegany County. It is extremely important that WIC clinics are held at sites other than the Wellsville main site in order to reach the families with transportation issues. The changes to the contracts for the Federal Fiscal Year 2022 (Oct 1, 2021-Sept. 30, 2022) are in red. These changes include a statement regarding WIC staff’s responsibility for wiping down common areas after the WIC clinics that are held at their premises. Thank you for consideration of my request.
