What is reiki

Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a Japanese term which means ‘Spiritually guided universal life force energy’, similar to ‘Prana’ in Sanskrit, ‘Chi’ in Chinese and is known as ‘Cosmic energy’ to many. It was (re)-discovered by Dr. Mikao Usui in nineteenth century. Reiki as written in Kaisho old standard style used before World War II and during Mikao Usui's lifetime.

A Reiki session involves transfer of energy (prana) from reiki healer to patient to enhance the body's natural ability to heal itself through the balancing of etheric energy centers and meridians in etheric body. It works on all levels, body, mind, and spirit. You can heal yourself as well as others. The reiki master teacher gives this healing ability (ability to tap prana from universe) in a process known as reiki attunement. During this attunement he dissolves your many karmas and make you able to tap this universal energy. After this process person initiated / attuned is known as reiki channel as he is able to channel this energy at his will, whenever, wherever and in whatever amount. Reiki is currently practiced by over a million people worldwide.

Reiki is the science of healing of energy body using the cosmic life energy. Reiki re-aligns one with one's true path, source and spirit. Reiki master works as a channel for this reiki energy healing. The removal of energy imbalance or clearing negative energy by such healing in any portion of the energy body automatically leads to healing in the corresponding part of the physical body. Heartfelt desire alone to become a healing channel for yourself or others is sufficient to put you into the vibration that leads to reiki.

Some salient features of reiki are:-

• Its use is not dependent on one's intellectual capacity or spiritual development and therefore is available to everyone. It has been successfully taught to thousands of people of all ages and backgrounds.

• Once you are attuned to reiki, you can practice anytime. You do not need to reattune again if you resume practicing reiki after a long time.

• There many instances when people already following some other spiritual practices have reported a significant improve in their practice after they have been attuned to reiki.

• It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.

• Reiki never harm or have side effects of any kind. It is only lack of understanding about healing process that such instances occur.

• It has several effects like, it brings about deep relaxation, eliminate energy blockages, detoxifies the system, provides vitality in form of 'chi', and increases the vibrational frequency of the body.

• Reiki is intelligent and non-polarized energy. It flows automatically where imbalances exist.• It is not faith healing or placebo healing. It can be learnt and practiced by anyone, even a child.

It is a simple hands–on technique. It is not a belief system. Scientific researches have been carried out world wide.

• Reiki is intelligent cosmic energy. Even if you diagnose the dis-eased person wrongly, reiki will flow where it is actually needed.

• It is not something that we do only when one is suffering from any diseases or life trouble, but, a first step to karmic healing.

• Reiki is free from every bias. It can not be related to any specific religion only. It is unbiased and unconditional form of divine healing.

During a reiki treatment, reiki healer transfer reiki to the dis-eased person. The practitioner places his hands in various positions above the patient’s body. Experiences of reiki treatment varies from individual to individual but most people are found to feel intense relaxation, increased clarity of thoughts, serenity and enthusiasm.. For others Reiki is a life-changing event opening doors to discover new dimensions of consciousness. The treatment can last between 25 minutes and 2 hours depending upon individual’s need.

Intention plays very important role in reiki session. Energy is directed to dis-eased organ using intention of removing negative energy and filling positive energy. This is due to the fact that "energy flows where ever our thoughts / intention goes". The same principal is used when making use of reiki for wish fulfillment. Reiki can not be used for manipulating others according to our will. It is used to bring harmony and wellness.

What is meditation ?

Meditation is a thoughtless state during which we realize that the real 'I' and 'mind' are two different things. 'I' uses mind for various purposes. It is out of ignorance only that we think that I and mind are one. Meditation starts with intense concentration on the object of meditation and if practiced consistently turns into samadhi. The Samadhi is the super conscious state of mind. In this state of self realization the seeker becomes Buddha.

Is reiki a meditation technique ?



Yes, reiki is a meditation technique. Reiki is an art of going beyond mind. It is completely up to the seeker how and where he utilities this energy, for materialistic gains or spiritual ascension or both.Seeking enlightenment by meditating on light suits both formless (Nirakar) and formful (Sakar) concepts of meditation. All religion, culture and faiths in the world recognize the significance of light in meditation in one way or the other since where there is light, there can not be darkness (ignorance arising due to mind). The divine light is considered as a visual representative of Cosmic consciousness. Infact during worship we use candles, incense sticks and lightening lamps are nothing but symbolic indication towards dispelling ignorance.

What is group reiki ?

When a group of reiki practitioners give reiki to the same person simultaneously, the reiki session is termed as group reiki. Group reiki session is very powerful as the strength of healing energy increases exponentially. Due to this the dis-eased person recovers speedily.

History of reiki

Born on 15 august 1865 in the village of Taniai (now called Miyama cho), in the Yamagata county of the Gifu Prefecture in Japan, Dr. Mikao Usui was a physician, scholar and translator. His father was a Buddhist while his mother was Christian. Due to this, he was nurtured in both these religions / traditions and due to his interest he became expert in the knowledge of both traditions. He was the dean of a small college teaching Christianity in Kyoto and so, along with some of his colleague, used to teach lessons from Bible about spiritual ways of life to live in peace, harmony and compassion.

We all know that Jesus possesses miraculous healing powers, where, just by his touch, people were known to get healed. Bible mentioned such powers many times. One day one of his student asked to Mikao Usui that- does the information in bible are true and accurate ? does the Jesus really possesses healing powers and healed many people just by his touch or blessings. ? If yes, how Jesus made this happen ? Dr. Mikao Usui replied saying that in the bible Jesus says, " these miracles are nothing- I demonstrate these only because you have little faith in power of God and after me will come many who will do much more than I have done."

The students were now more curious and asked Dr. Mikao Usui to teach him how Jesus healed others. By this we will be able to heal others and to ourselves also. Dr. Mikao Usui said that he don't know that how did Jesus healed and he also admitted that Lord Buddha also possessed such healing abilities before Jesus. So he went to a Buddhist monastery to meet one of his friends to know how did Lord Buddha did these healing miracles. But to his disappointment his friend also did not knew how Lord Buddha did it, and he said that yes, Lord Buddha posses these healing powers but the knowledge about these things are now lost. He said that we are more concerned with spirit then physical body. Dr. Mikao Usui could not digest this as according to him ignoring physical flash in pursuit of self-realization seemed somewhat unreasonable.

He returned to the students and said as a teacher I must have known this, but now, as I am not qualified to be your teacher anymore as per Japanese tradition, so I am resigning from this college. Students asked him that his resignation will be of no help to them as they wanted to know about this healing method. This was the moment which made Dr. Mikao Usui to begin his search for this lost



method of spiritual healing. Dr. Mikao Usui went to many places to rediscover this method. He first went to America, to Philadelphia but did not obtain anything of his interest. He then came to India, thinking that, it is the home of Buddhism and all sacred and esoteric knowledge. He came to know that he will have to study some holy scriptures which were written in Sanskrit. Dr. Mikao Usui then learned Sanskrit and also went to Tibet to study Lotus Sutras of Buddhism. His search for this continued over a period of 20 years.

As all the intellectual and theoretical avenues had been covered, so he decided to go up onto the holy mountain and fast, pray and meditate. He collected 21 stones so that he can keep track of days. As the days went by and he continued to fast and meditate, his awareness shifted. 20 days had been passed, but on 21st day, he went through a metaphysical experience that finally gave him what he long for. By mystical revelation he had gained the knowledge and spiritual power to apply and attune and heal others, to what he called Reiki. He received some esoteric symbols also, now called Reiki symbols for healing. This is how lost healing method was (re)-discovered.

After having gained this esoteric knowledge, a series of unexpected things occurred with him. While when he was stepping down the mount Kuriyama he stubbed his toe on a rock, and because his nail had come off, it was bleeding now. As soon as he put his hands on his hurt toe, the pain and the bleeding began to dissipate very rapidly. He realized that something was different about the energy in his hands. His hands were very hot. This was the first miracle of healing. After healing his toe, he continued down the mountain.

Furthermore, due to his fasting and strict penance, he has not eaten anything and was feeling hungry, and therefore entered a restaurant-kiosks. He ordered porridge which should be cold. The waiter told him that, as he has not eaten anything for many days, if he eats all this cold porridge, he may fall sick. But Dr. Mikao Usui decided to eat cold porridge. Amazing not only he eat that cold porridge but also drank cold tea. Everybody was surprised that how he is able to digest all that but he surely and easily digested all whatever he has consumed. This was second unexpected healing miracle.

Taking further, at this restaurant Dr. Mikao Usui happened to meet the owner's daughter who was suffering from toothache. When Dr. Mikao Usui touched her jaw and healed, there was no pain anymore. This was the third healing miracle.

Additional info:

• It is belived that Dr. Mikao Usui was a Christian. But no strong evidence has been found in support of this yet.

• It is believed that Dr. Mikao Usui was principal in Doshisha University in Kyoto. But again we do not have any evidence till today.

• According to Mrs. Takata, Dr. Mikao Usui neither fined any information specifically related to reiki in Sanskrit sutras nor did he find any symbols which are actually regular Japanese kanji terms. But he found a formula, a way, by which we can contact those divine powers who has the ability to bestow healing powers.

Degrees of reiki



Different degrees in reiki involve giving different initiations to disciple. Degrees basically refer to the level of reiki attunement imparted on you. Reiki initiation is, first and foremost, a means calculated to induce the beginner to discover for himself certain facts that are not directly revealed to him but which, by the aid of symbolical rites, he will eventually perceive himself. It is not intended to enlighten the beginner but rather to lead him to become conscious of what has hitherto been hidden from him because his mental eye has not been capable of perceiving it.

Reiki I degree is the entry level. The disciple is attuned to reiki energy for the healing of themselves, others, plants and animals etc. The disciple is explained how energy works in every area of our life and how we can harness its mystical power. The class can be one or two days long depending upon teacher's method of teaching and other requirements. The disciple get familiarized with the basic principles of the reiki practice, history of reiki, what reiki may or may not do, 24 hands positions for treatment and code of ethics for reiki practitioner. We are introduced to aura and chakras, their properties and functioning etc. and making energy ball for healing are taught. Psychic defense is also covered. The disciple is taught how to make wish fulfillment box or chit.

At Reiki II degree, the disciple is attuned with reiki symbols which increase the strength of the healing. Some additional meditations, reiki elixir and spiritual lessons are also taught. How to heal anybody not physically present (distance healing) is taught. Generally, it has been a tradition to teach II degree reiki method after 21 days of learning I degree reiki. This is due to the assumption that we need to cleanse our basic etheric garbage in order to be more able to assimilate more powerful divine energy attuned in II degree reiki. After II degree attunement one feels more powerful at energy level. Feeling strong in ourselves gives us the ability to not only heal ourselves but also to those around us. Self responsibility changes how a life situation is viewed and we are no longer victims of unpleasant life situations. After II degree you can note significant changes in thought process. Compassion will start emerging as you practice with reiki symbols more and more. II degree gives the power to look deep in our self, working of mind, its projections and power of focused mind.

Reiki III degree is divided into two parts, namely III A degree and III B degree. In III A degree the student is given a master symbol which is supposed to be the ultimate in healing. This symbol symbolizes wholeness and journey of reiki. It empowers other symbols. The strength of the healing now gets extremely powerful. Additionally psychic surgery is taught often.

In III B degree, the disciple now becomes master reiki teacher as he is now authorized to attune others. The method to attune others is revealed to him by his guru's grace. Keep in mind that becoming reiki master teacher (having III B degree) is not for everyone. The reiki III B degree ask for serious devotion in healing path. It ask for an extensive apprenticeship, training with real dedication and compassion. It ask for serious devotion and service of mankind. The more conservative forms of reiki teachings does not allow anybody to become master easily and their are some norms set for that, yet, in more liberal terms their are some reiki practitioners who will attune you to III B degree without following some common norms. When we have become reiki teacher, the students in effect may act as mirrors to our own process, healing and awakening.

Reikitirth is also a Reiki Training Centre. At reikitirth the attunement process includes original method and enhanced techniques both. The students are also initiated into some other highly powerful spiritual practices.



Why becoming a reiki master is highly expensive ?

Reiki was brought to west by Mrs. Takata. Japan and western countries have different cultures and ethos etc. Mrs. Takata realized that the concept of "Respect" mind not be well understood by westerns and it will be difficult for her to make them realize the value of reiki. It was therefore that she decided to charge large sum of money for imparting reiki mastership attunement from others. She knew that money is something that western people understand and this will help them have respect and gratitude for reiki. Since then it has been a tradition to charge large sum of money for reiki mastership across the world.

Additional info:

• Due to very flexible nature of reiki teaching, you may find wide differences in teaching methods of reiki masters across the world. For example :

• Many reiki masters (especially professionals), does not follow this system of three degrees in reiki, instead they will combine 1st and 2nd degree into one and reiki mastership as the other.

• There will be some slight differences in attunement process among different reiki master teachers. But the student needs not to worry as all of them will work equally. It is said that: "when the student is ready, teacher appears." So the disciple just has to think about his devotion and divinity in him.

• Many reiki masters will teach how to use crystals along with reiki in the 1st degree itself while other may cover it in 2nd or 3rd degree. These differences are also the result of different religious and cultural bias. For example in china use of singing bowls with reiki is common. Some reiki teachers also include music therapy, color therapy, pranayama, color breathing, hypnosis, NLP or aroma therapy also.

• Many reiki masters teach symbols which are used in healing but are not part of traditional reiki healing method. For example antahkarana and flower of life symbols etc.

Precepts of reiki

After returning from sacred mount Kurama-yama, Dr. Mikao Usui went to beggars colony to help them heal their diseases and improve their life styles. He wanted them to make productive citizens instead of being a parasite. Dr. Mikao Usui lived many years in beggar's colony. He taught reiki to many beggars and some of them returned to their village to begin spending a productive and purposeful life. They started becoming prosperous but as time passed, they could not give proper time to healing and as a result of this their life situations once again started getting worse. Some of them decided to become beggars once again and came back to beggars colony. While teaching other beggars, Dr. Mikao Usui recognized some of them and was disappointed by their come back.

During a meditation Dr. Usui discovered the precepts of reiki whose purpose was to bring a balance in life. Their purpose is to make people understand that consciously deciding to improve oneself and taking responsibility for healing is an important aspect of reiki healing method. It was therefore out of their experience with beggars and some others he laid down some precepts referred to as The Gokai in Japan, which the reiki practitioners are supposed to follow in daily life. The reiki energy along with these precepts is what we call as Usui system of reiki.



The reiki precepts as presented by Mrs. Takata and used in west mainly :-

Just For Today, I Will Not Worry.Just For Today, I Will Not be Angry.Just For Today, I Will Earn My Living Honestly.Just For Today, I Will Honor My Parents, Elders, and Teachers.Just For Today, I Will Show Gratitude For Everything.

The reiki precepts which are believed to be given by Dr. Mikao Usui originally :-

Additional info:-

• Their have been many controversies about the precepts as their origin and other details were kept hidden. Reiki being extremely compatible with every Religion and spiritual practice got modified according as needed. It seems that you should “Honour your parents, teachers and elders” have been added later, once reiki was being taught in the West.

• It has been claimed that the precepts originate in a book, published in Usui’s time, and it has been claimed that they are based on the edicts of Mutsuhito, the Meiji Emperor. Certainly it seems that many Tendai and Zen Buddhist teachers were passing on similar principles in Usui Sensei’s time.

• It is belived that the above precepts are written on linen and located at Dr. Usui's grave site. The location of this grave site is still not publically disclosed.

• The Usui Reiki Ryoho Gakkai (Society of the Usui Spiritual Energy Healing Method) claims to have been created by Dr. Mikao Usui in 1922. The society still exists today, and has its president. It is closed to foreigners and members are asked not to discuss the details of the society with non-members.

Reiki symbols

The reiki has its origin at Japan and therefore encompasses Japanese ethos and culture. When the reiki was brought to west by Ms. Takata she imbued sacredness in these symbols because Dr. Hayashi has taught her in that way. These symbols are not secret or occult but are expression of powerful divinity. It is important to know that Dr. Usui did not begin attuning others to reiki with symbols. Few things were added to reiki as a result of his experience gained in meditation and practical life. For example reiki's five principals were added because of what happened in beggar's colony.



These symbols were experienced by him in his meditative states and he knew that the vibration of these symbols matches with some important / healing vibrations. These symbols were written in calligraphy or kanji at his times and are now lost in Japanese language. Dr. Mikao Usui was a sagacious scholar having profound understanding of attunements, healing, spirituality and subtle powers. He gave these things to ordinary people in the form of reiki so that others do not have to spent his whole life decoding and understanding spiritual scriptures. He created a group / society of people who were interested in healing their lives with reiki. Whenever a society or group is formed these things like some secrets shared among that group only arises. Whoever wants to learn reiki was welcome. Just give something in exchange and the method and secrets were revealed to him.

In many spiritual systems it has been very common that the master gives a secret mantra (beej mantra) to his disciple. The disciple may think that the mantra revealed to him is very common and he has encountered it many times like in books, then what was the reason of giving this mantra so secretly in a sacred ceremony. But we all know the miracles of master's grace and blessings. The mantra and symbols given by masters carry divine energy in them and expedite our progress. Without attuning reiki symbols in you by a reiki master, you can not carry their energy in your aura.

Understand that there is nothing secret in reiki. It is a method of teaching healing energies in an easy to learn and practice form. The symbols 'hon sha ze sho nen' and 'dai ko myo' were written in kanji language. The reiki symbols are the vibrations one will experience when one is in state of reiki Samadhi. We need to get these symbol attuned from a reiki master. As time passed, the original form of these symbols started getting lost. For example when madam Takata made reiki masters, there would have been different types of 'hon sha ze sho nen' and 'dai ko myo'. It was to preserve their original form that they were drawn on paper so that nobody can further introduce any modifications in how they are drawn.

The 'Choku rei' is the power symbol. It increases the strength of healing energy. It is a general purpose symbol which is almost always used whenever we send reiki.

The 'Sei he ki' symbol is used to overcome the obstacles in path of reiki energy. It brings back the balance where imbalances exist whether it be in body or life situations. It removes bad habits about us we may not be aware. It brings physical body, energy body and mental body into alignment. Use this when you want to clear road traffic or make your way whenever you are struck somewhere in life. Use it for house protection.

The 'Dai ko myo' symbol is attuned in master degree of reiki. This symbol is embossed on a jar made near the foot of Lord Buddha in a temple at Nara, Japan. A jar symbolizes completeness and so does this symbol. We are complete at every level of existance. It is the mind which makes us feel that we lack something and are incomplete and therefore we look for things outside not inside. This symbol symbolizes journey of reiki. Reiki lineage

After Dr. Mikao usui give his five principles of reiki, he traveled through out Japan lecturing and teaching reiki. On his travels he acquired 18 disciples, men who traveled and studies with him. This begins the tradition of apprenticeship in reiki.

Dr. Chujiro Hayashi was the first reiki master initiated and trained by Dr. Mikao usui himself. He was a deeply dedicated reiki master and retired marine officer. Dr. Hayashi founded a clinic in Kyoto and Tokyo, which was visited by Hawayo Takata from Hawaii in order to remedy her tumor in 1935. She was successfully healed and thereafter become the reiki channel herself. In 1937, Dr. Hayashi visited her for several months and gave her further training. Before his departure in Febuary of 1938, he initiated her to be the first reiki master (Master of the Dr. Usui Reiki System of Healing), at that time in USA. Before the outbreak of the war between Japan and USA, Dr. Hayashi bestwed her the title of reiki master and his authorized successor.

Reiki, in west was introduced by Hawayo Takata. She initiated and trained 21 reiki masters, among them Phyllis Lei Furumoto, her granddaughter whom she had already initiated into reiki during childhood. Hawayo Takata in December 1980 declared her granddaughter Phyllis Lei Furumoto, to be her successor and authorized reiki master of the Dr. Usui Reiki System of Healing. Many masters have been initiated by her and other reiki masters in meantime so that there are now currently several thousands who initiate and teach reiki through out the entire world. Reiki and alternative therapies are now common.



Code of ethics for reiki practitioner

All Reiki healers must follow the code of ethics for reiki healer that has been laid out for them. The reiki ethical code lays out what the relationship between the practitioner and the client. It is a code of conduct that the practitioner should follow with his patient at all times. Violating it would amount to breech of trust between the healer and the patient. Given below is a brief description ofthe ethical code for reiki healer:

Before drawing the energy on a person, reiki master should prepare the patient mentally for it. If he/she does not want to be in contact with reiki, he/she may not respond to reiki.

Practitioner should inform the client that reiki is not replacement for medical care. He should explain that it is important for the over all well-being of the person.

Client sessions should be held in a secure and comfortable place.

Before the healer begins a reiki session, he should tell the patient what he may experience during the session. He should discuss with the dis-eased person what is going to happen during and after the session.

Personal details of the client should not be revealed, unless the client himself has given you permission to do so. The Reiki healer should not disclose or confirm the fact that a particular person is a client, unless he has prior permission and the consent of the client to do so.

The healer should teach the dis-eased person value of reiki and explain to them that the sessions do not guarantee complete healing or complete recuperation.

At all times treat the client with great respect and honor.

A healer must respect the opinion, views and methods followed by other Reiki practitioners. It is entirely up to the healer concerned to decide whether he wants to learn from other healers or wants to follow their methods. But there should be no fault with the way he practices Reiki.

Practice must be conducted with confidentiality and great discretion. Practitioner-client confidentiality must be maintained at all costs. Anything that is discussed between the two should not be disclosed.

The healer should find out whether the client is undergoing any medical treatment. If the practitioner thinks that a client requires professional medical attention then he should suggest to the client that he gets it. Reiki is a supplement to medical treatment and therefore the practitioner should be aware of any medical history of the client.

The healer should not tell the client to disrobe unless he is also a legally licensed massage therapist in the country in which he practices. He should never touch the genital area or breasts. To treat these areas he should only practice hands-off techniques.



A healer should work on his own healing so as to embody and express the essence of reiki in everything they do.

Do's

• Before starting the reiki session, always ask your patient to close his eyes and be thankful and welcoming towards divine love and healing energies that he is going to recieve. You can also ask them to focus on some pleasant feelings, white light coming to them or some symbol they already use in their meditation practice if any.

• Irrespective of the dis-ease or problem, always give reiki to manipura chakra, because this is the power center from where the absorption and regulation of prana occurs and this chakra always get affected whenever there is any dis-ease or problem.

• Always ask your patient to increase his water intake as water help in circulating energy, keeps cells in healthy conditions and help in removing negative energy through urine.

• Before giving reiki treatment counsel the patient with aim of shifting his focus from problem to solution. Motivate him to open up with you and tell you whatever issue he is holding onto. Show him specific ways that will help him in bringing positive changes in his life. Always build a rapport with him.

• If the time and conditions permit, give reiki to ear because there are many nerve that end here and are connected to brain and other organs. Every organ has a nerve supply which can either speed up or slow down the functions of that particular organ and therefore giving reiki to ear will not only heal many organs simultaneously but also will remove negative energy / thoughts from brain.

• Ask the dis-eased person to increase spinach (palak) and beetroot (chukandar) intake for atleast 15 days. This will increase the hemoglobin level, which will greatly help in better absorption and retention of prana thereby expediting healing process and permanent results.

• Never play with the trust your patient has on you. Always honor his faith. Always follow code of ethics for reiki practitioner.

• If you are frequently dealing with patients, it is good idea to take rock salt water bath in order to release any negative thought forms you may have taken subconsciously.

• It is natural that the dis-eased person will also show some psychological things like lack or decrease in confidence and lack of enthusiasm, up to some extent. These things will get healed automatically when you heal the dis-ease.

• Ask the dis-eased person to wear loose and comfortable clothes for reiki session and the healer should also wear comfortable clothes.

• Treat until you feel the rise and fall of energy, or if you do not experience energy physically, just treat for 5 minutes at dis-eased part or area.

• Ask your patient to write the things that are not working in their life the way they want. Include all areas as it would help in figuring out where exactly the problem lies more easily.



• Make sure that during treatment patient does not cross either his leg or hands. This indicates unwillingness to heal at subconscious level.

• Place your hands at about 3-4 inches above the dis-eased area. Patient must not feel the weight of your palm.

• Reiki balances and heals surgically removed organs for example 'phantom limb'. Tell the patient not to worry about it if he feels any sensations or something in that area.

• Create a healing environment as it would facilitate the psychological healing. It is very important to relax your patient both mentally and physically. Use some easy exercise to relax physically and use hypnosis or affirmations to relax mentally.

• At the beginning and end of healing session always ground both yourself and the dis-eased person. End the treatment by sealing the dis-eased person's energy field by drawing the power symbol on his solar plexus and have an intension "I seal (his name) energy field with love". "He is always divinely protected and guided".

• During reiki session try to embed exact affirmations into his subconscious mind which are useful for him.

Dont's

• Remember that you are not medical doctor, therefore never make guesses about anything medically and do not take any chance. Do not ask patient to stop taking medicines. Advice him to relax mentally and physically. Advice him what food or things will naturally boost his energy (stamina).

• Never attach or relate yourself with patient in any way. You will end up catching negative energy from dis-eased person.

• Some healer feel drained after giving reiki. Reason for this is wrong intension. You are supposed to give reiki coming from universe and not your own prana. Also after the session is over detach yourself from patient (close reiki channel between you and patient) by using raku symbol and the method your reiki teacher has taught you.

• Do not educate your patient about dis-ease. It becomes seed of new negative psychic impressions.

• When using crystals, follow your intuition. Also one crystal may be best for someone but may not work for other. The Amethyst and rose quartz are the crystal that works almost with everybody. Do not use crystals if dis-eased person feels uncomfortable.

• If you use aroma essence or soothing music, always ask first if the patient is allergic to some smell and whether he is comfortable with the music or not.

Invoking reiki: the heartfelt prayer

Reiki hand positions

It has been observed that different reiki masters adopt different steps for healing and all of them have proved effective. However there are certain points in our body for optimal healing. They are actually related to major and minor chakras of the etheric body, and by giving reiki treatment on those points the whole body gets cured. These points can be easily memorized in a short period. It is not strictly necessary to follow the exact sequences or only heal these points, but they may be more beneficial. We even advise the practitioners to follow their inner feeling and heal according to their intuition and experience. As a general rule emphasis should be more on the area where the patient feels pain. Remember, reiki life force energy is intelligent and it knows where it has to go.

Each point should be treated for a minimum of 3 to 5 minutes, but in case of acute problems, one can spend 10 to 15 minutes. In case of chronic disease, treatment should not be beyond 20-30 minutes to begin with, but the period can be increased later. Giving reiki treatment; body response and side effects

When we give reiki treatment to the patient the body response varies from person to person. Some tends to heal very quickly while some shows increased resistance. The patient may feel rise and fall of body temperatures, body being heated or as if a current is flowing through his body. He may find that his diet and thrust for water has considerably increased. As a side effect some patient tends to withdraw themselves from people around them just because they are feeling inner peace. The level of stress and short temperedness decreases significantly. Sometimes an emotional outburst is also experienced. Some people have reported that they feel as if they are flying; physical body has no weight. Treating plants and animals

The plants and animals can also be benefited through reiki. Keep a piece of clear quartz crystal in the flower pot or bury in the vicinity of the root of the plant. Power Ball

In reiki a power ball refers to a concentrated energy reservoir which we blow at the dis-eased area to work instantly and very effectively. We first need to create it and then use. Get into meditative state, begin reiki session. Now hold your palms facing each other about 9 to 12 inches apart and at the level of your heart. Now begin focusing towards the center of this palm arrangement such that you feel a heavy rush of energy. Visualize that reiki is getting collected more and more in this reservoir and use the highest of your emotions and imagination in doing so. Now move back forth slightly your palm feeling the energy pool. Notice the electromagnetic resistance between your palms when you bring your palms closer. The dowsing is a occult method believed to be used for locating water, gemstones, oil repository and buried metals or ores etc. in ancient times. A Y- or L-shaped twig or rod (made of either wooden or metal), called a dowsing rod is sometimes used during dowsing, although some dowsers use other equipment or no equipment at all. In reiki a metallic or crystal pendulum is used mainly for diagnosis purpose or getting divine guidance.

The person using dowser first builds rapport with the dowser by a series of questions and practice. As practice is perfected the dowser comes in resonance with the subconscious mind of the person who dowses. Quiet mind is prerequisite for effective dowsing. The Human Aura

Every object in the universe, whether natural or artificial, whether animate or inanimate, whether small or big emits radiations. The radiations are energy forms and invisible. The Indians know this fact and therefore incorporated this theory in their traditions. Women in India draw rangoli in front of door entrance which help eliminate negative radiations from outside. Our body produces static electricity and by touching grounded objects we discharge it naturally. This electricity is actually a part of our bio-energy.

Human body is electric, magnetic and electromagnetic

Mr. Robert Charman in his paper on electrical properties of cells and tissues detailed the cell as an electric system. The main difference between electricity in biological systems and electricity in electronic devices is that cells and tissues are charged atoms or ions, while electronic devices are based on electrons. The root chakra

The name mooladhara is amalgamation of two words mool, meaning root/main, adhara, meaning support/base. This chakra is so vital that due to its malfunctioning, most of the other major and minor chakras will stop functioning leading to a total collapse of the physical body. It binds the gross body with its mother's love and affection. The new born baby traces the body heat of the mother and feels solace under it. The more he gets love and affection from mother, more the child will be attached to earth and his development will become easier. Similarly, the more the person is grounded better he is able to balance both physical as well as spiritual world. If ungrounded, he will be lost in a mixture of various thoughts and processes which will not help him much in his endeavour for the spiritual growth. It is the root chakra which itself embodies the power of balancing and earthing the energy of the existence.

All the chakras make their appearance at foetal life but it is the Mooladhara chakra that starts developing in the prenatal stage. In the third trimester, of pregnancy, it develops. It is located at two fingers below testis & two fingers above anus / Near the opening of uterus. Beej mantra is Lam.

On a psychical level, it controls the will of survival, the state of inner safety, the desire for material goods, and the choice of profession. It deals with the issues of survival instinct. It helps you fulfill basic needs i.e. food, clothes and shelter. The more open the chakra and more prana radiating, the more you are prosperous. The quality of life you live is directly proportional to this chakra. When it is functioning properly, we feel secure and comfortable in the physical world. When the prana through this chakra is blocked or it have less prana, one will feel concurrent fear of death, which will emerge as an internal struggle for personal survival. Its malfunctioning will cause person to avoid social gatherings, taking responsibility for something, fear of being wrong, social anxiety and agoraphobia. When it is out of balance, we may suffer from low self-esteem, feel out of touch with our body and our sexuality, or be prone to depression and addictive behavior. When your Root Chakra is balanced, we feel confident and healthy, and happy with our body and our sexuality.

It reflects a person's connection with their mother, and with mother Earth. How the person feels about being on the earth and connects with his physical body. How he realizes that he is part of a large ecosystem and nature. As mother takes loving care of his child, similarly, root chakra provides nourishment to flash body and gives prana to physical body. When you become your own “good mother,” you are able to manage the curve balls life throws you and take responsibility for your circumstances. “Mothering and nourishing yourself means understanding what you need and letting yourself have it, to the best of your ability.”

A deep sense and strong sense of stability and security can enable us to explore our facets, take risks and uncover our potential. The mooladhara chakra is conduit for our experience of security. The security here refers to secure relationships, work place, job, career, financial aspects, health etc. Also notice that we can be very secure in one area of life for example in career and job while very insecure in other area such as relationship with spouse etc. Imbalances in this chakra may result in two extremes of insecurity and rigidity, an UNWILLINGNESS TO CHANGE.

Mentally, this chakra is responsible for maintaining balance, a balance between right brain hemisphere and left brain hemisphere, a balance between male and female aspects of inner body, a balance between physical and spiritual world etc. One of its main aspects is innocence which gives us dignity, balance, and a tremendous sense of direction and purpose in life. Simplicity, joy, purity, integrity and balance are some qualities manifested through this Chakra.

Emotions associated with this chakra include frustration, rage, and passion. Constipation is not only physical, but emotional too. Repressed anger is also related to mooladhara chakra. Opening it can have effects of releasing long-held emotions. A symptom of suppression of this chakra is the inability of a person to express one’s emotions appropriately.

Physical aspects:

This chakra is related to the functioning of the legs, feet, bones and large intestines. Adrenal gland is associated with it which responsible for the fight and flight response when survival is under threat. It is related to obesity, hemorrhoids, addictions, constipation, sciatica, lower back pain, varicose veins, rectal tumors, depression, immune related disorders, insomnia, spinal column, kidneys, lymph system, skeleton, teeth, nose, arterial blood, adipose tissue, osteoporosis, boils and pimples, nerve disorders etc.

Symptoms of Imbalanced Mooladhara chakra:

It is attributed to element water, which is fluid and mobile. This water reflects the shadow of a crescent moon. This represents the purity of love and affection. Often, the memory of sexual violation is repressed, but its destructive effects manifest in behaviour which is unconsciously driven. Sexual violation destroys this center. It symbolizes ideas, impulses, and desires which stimulate the mind. It is related to imagination, which is powerful force in human creativity at all levels, spiritual, artistic and personal. If it is stuck wide open, we tend to allow our emotions and sexual impulses to rule us and our creative drive might over shadow everything else in our life. It offers us the opportunity to lessen our "control issues" and find a balance in our lives, teaching us to recognize that acceptance and rejection are not the only options in our life and relationships. The process of making changes in our life stream through our personal choices is a product of this chakra energy. We will lack negotiation skills if this chakra is malfunctioning while, if healthy, it enhances our problem-solving capacity.

The Spirit, which resides in our heart, is the real reservoir of creativity, and artists and people who think excessively or are obsessed with fame or success will usually suffer a weak Swadhisthan Chakra and tend to be off-balance personalities. Their ambition is to be superior to others or to be acclaimed by them for their talents comes from their ego. Although, we can see that even where the artistic endeavor starts out with heart, there is a tendency for the artist to produce later works which are lifeless or lacking inspiration. As the artist becomes more successful, he works harder to maintain or grow this success which requires exhaustive use of this chakra especially prana (male side / pingala channel) get drained at a very fast rate and resulting in inflated ego of him. In addition, the connection with the ego can take the attention away from the Spirit. As the artist starts to believe that he is the creator of all his works (thus eliminating divine inspiration) the process is accelerated and the ego expands to such an extent that the spirit of the work has been removed completely.

The emotion anger is regulated by this chakra. When the flow of energy through this chakra is restricted because of fear or physical and energetic contraction, anger will emerge. when this it is functioning healthfully pleasure will emerge as the natural response to human interaction and appropriate activity. By examining the emotional



issues which block our happiness, and deciding to accept pleasure in our lives, we can let go of our pain and suffering. It is also responsible for the creation or withdrawal of enthusiasm in routine life. Emotional feelings are affected by this chakra. Our capacity to control our desires is the measure of our capacity to keep this chakra balanced.

In swadhisthana chakra the sense of taste is the sensory avenue or input. In tasting we use the hands, which are the motor output of swadhisthana, to take food to the mouth, and to drink. There is a very interesting relationship between the sensation of taste, the sexual fluids of the body and the awakening of swadhisthana. There is no sense of taste unless the water element is present. This is true. The taste buds will not function without the water element being present. If your mouth is dried up, and I blindfold you and plug your nostrils, you can't tell whether you are eating apple or onion.

Physical aspects:

Physically, this chakra is related to the reproductive system, bladder, urinary tract, womb, menstrual cycle in women and to the testes prostates plexus in men, low back pain, sciatica, pelvic pain, libido, liver functioning, metabolism, digestion, detoxification, immunity and balancing of blood sugar etc.

One of the most important functions of this center is to generate the energy that fuels our thinking by breaking down fat particles in the abdomen to replace the brain cells. Excessive thinking and planning overworks this process and exhausts the centre. The Swadhisthan also looks after the liver (along with the Nabhi Centre). If the Chakra is having to cope with excessive thinking, then the other organs it is supposed to look after are neglected. The liver is particularly susceptible to this neglect. The liver has a particular importance in that it is the seat of our Attention (chitta). Attention is pure concentration minus thought/mental activity. For example when we look at a flower we put our pure attention on it (i.e., we observe it). However we will also think about it ("that’s pretty," "I wonder what’s it called," etc.). Attention has no such associated thoughts — it is pure concentration/observation/witnessing. A balanced liver sustains and nourishes our Attention and filters it by scanning out any impurities and external clutter. From this purified attention comes the peace and stillness that we obtain in our meditation. The liver is susceptible to overheating (through alcohol or other stimulants), effecting our Attention, which ultimately weakens our meditation and so on.

We must end involuntary and compulsive thinking. Pay particular attention to any repetitive thought patterns i.e. carefully and attentively observe/watch the thinker, listen to the voice in your head without judgment, just listen. When we do this a different consciousness is activated and the thought then loses its power over us and subsides, because we are no longer energizing the mind through identification with it.

Symptoms of Imbalanced Swadhisthana chakra:

Too much yang will present as sexuality dominating the person's life, sexual frustration and excessive fantasizing. There may be excessive tightness in the abdominal area leading to low back problems, Puritanism, sexual repression, emotional suffering and instability, lack of trust.


The God Vishnu and Goddess Rakini are the deities of this chakra. The lotus within the lotus is called the Kunda flower. The six vermillion colored petals represent the impulses, ideas and powers of the imagination, which stimulate the mind. Imagination and fantasies sometimes create desires without discrimination. This chakra symbolizes passionate consciousness and dynamism. It is associated with the level of being we call the personality, or ego. This is the area which defines our "self-esteem". When energy is not flowing freely from this chakra we have problems with self-esteem and confidence, our sense of adequacy, issues around responsibility and feeling caught in the middle. Strong self-esteem is a required for developing intuitive skills. This intuitive chakra is where we get our gut instincts that signal us to do or not to do something. Anyone experiencing dysfunction of the third chakra is having difficulty obtaining or maintaining his/her own "personal power". It is also the power center of the physical body. Malfunctioning of this chakra also results in lack of Will power, being stickler and self critical.

When it is functioning harmoniously, one will feel content and there will be no compulsion to compromise personal integrity. Relationships will be based on appropriateness, not on dependency, need, control, or manipulation. When participation is appropriate, it will natural response to environmental conditions. Also those with greater status will not try to subdue their subordinates, respect will be given to authority when it is earned, and withdrawn when it has been abused. When this chakra is imbalanced we can either veer into domination or helplessness.

When it is blocked fear will emerge in response to it. The fear of rejection, oversensitivity to criticism, self-image fears, fears of our secrets being found out, indecisiveness are the product of malfunctioning manipura chakra. Insecurity, jealousy, generative energy and wisdom are associated with it. If it is malfunctioning, the person will have uncontrolled extremes of emotion which may result in hypertension and adrenal exhaustion. Anger and frustration causes depletion of this chakra energy.

Manipura is concerned with people, places and things, as well as one's association to ideals, institutions, community, family, the sense of belonging, friendship, trust, contentment, and commitment, as well as the ability to remain calm during times of duress. It provide mental understanding of emotional life. A balanced third chakra gives you the awareness to know that it is important to live in harmony with others and to consider others when making decisions in life. The mooladhara and swadhisthana chakras know what we want to do, the solar chakra decides if we will do it. Many times this center acts as a block between heart and sexuality as the center related to health i.e. Anahata is above it and center related to sexuality i.e. Svadishthana is below. If both these chakras



are functional and open but Manipur is blocked then a person's sexual life will be without emotional attachment and love and vice-versa.

It is related to the element heat, incandescence, and its sensory avenue is sight. Without light we can see nothing. Also, when we are warm and jovial that is manipura chakra giving forth the warmth of human contact.

Understand that trying to control what we cannot causes us to worry about the future and obsess about the past. This chakra is not associated with personal love for the spouse/beloved nor with the sorrow of the broken heart. It is for a universalized love which is not limited to loved ones and those who love us in return. It is the compassion for stranger. It is the loving kindness for the greater human family. This love is purely altruistic. It is the master control center for regulating the emotions. It suggest the words "Love Heals All". It is an area that represents the deepest psychological significance. We say, 'I am touched' or 'I am moved'.

If it is not in balance, we may act lovingly but really feel resentful. We may give to others out of obligation rather than out of a genuine sense of goodwill. It is about giving and receiving love. If unbalanced, we have difficulty feeling love for ourselves or for others, we have difficulty receiving love or anything else from ourselves or others, and we feel cut off and all alone without feeling our connection to that divine light within us. we also tend to feel hurt by others easily. Hurtful situations like divorce, separation, bereavement, emotional abuse, abandonment, adultery cause disruption in its functioning.

Forgiveness is what emerges from here. Forgiveness is the power to let go of anger, hatred and resentment and to discover, in humility, the nobility and generosity of the Spirit. Everything that comes from heart comes from almighty God, as if he does not pull the breath, we will cease to exist.

The emotion regulated by this chakra is pain. If the heart chakra is blocked pain will emerge in response. If this remains blocked and one has become attached to the individual mind and ego the disruption can lead to feelings of hopelessness or despair. The love, compassion, confidence, inspiration, hope, despair, hate, envy, pride, insincerity, fear, jealousy, anger, generosity are linked to this chakra. Learning to love you is a powerful first step in securing a healthy fourth chakra. The "wounded child" resides in the heart chakra. If there is imbalance in this chakra, and one is not able to control unpleasant emotion like hate and envy, heart ailments are sure to ensue.

This chakra acts as a bridge between three chakras above and three chakras below in the bioplasmic body, distributing a uniform energy flow in both the directions. It is said that when the heart chakra is opened, wishes are spontaneously fulfilled through the activity of kalpa vriksha (wish tree) associated with it. The powers of this chakra indicate that personal karma has been completely absorbed, for this chakra is not subordinate to karmic forces. It brings an increased ability to direct prana. especially for healing. It permits a detached comprehension of karmic influences.

Since the heart chakra is the center of intuitive consciousness, it is from this chakra that the inner meanings of things can be grasped. One's personal rights are also upheld by this chakra. In the world of intellect it upholds the right to trust personal intuition, insight, and the finite human consciousness, no matter how these functions choose to manifest intellectually, creatively, verbally, through metaphor, the written word, or the arts. The element of the area is air; its sensory avenue is touch. Its motor output or organ of action is the procreative action, the act of reproduction, but that reproduction can take



place in the mind as well as the body. In tantra and kriya the movement of consciousness, the rotation of consciousness around the body, is a tactile experience in which you create your own sensation of movement, heat, cold, pressure. Yoga nidra is an opening up of anahata chakra through learning to experience the tactile sensations of heat, cold, touch, pain, light pressure, deep pressure; all these sensations are deliberately activated.

Physical aspects:

This chakra governs heart, circulatory system, blood, lungs, rib cage, diaphragm, thymus, breasts, esophagus, shoulders, arms, hands. It is related to the thymus which is a part of the immune system, as well as a part of the endocrine system. It produces T cells responsible for fighting off disease, and is adversely affected by stress. This centre produces the anti-bodies till the age of twelve years which are circulated in the whole body to fight any kind of attack on the body / mind. If there is any attack on the person these anti-bodies are informed through the sternum, which has a remote control of information.

Diseases associated with this chakra imbalance include tuberculosis, arrhythmias, hypertension, coronary heart disease, asthma, high cholesterol, breast (cancer and fibromas), shoulder and esophagus problems, asthma, lung & breast cancers, thoracic spine, pneumonia, upper back, breast Cancer etc. People suffering from high stress due to their unjustified workaholic nature need to balance this chakra, as this indicates that you do not love yourself.

Symptoms of Imbalanced heart chakra:

Excessive yang leads to insensitivity. Excessive yin leads to hypersensitivity or the feeling of emptiness. Extreme physical or mental activity, heartfelt bad relations (especially mother’s), no confidence in God, anti-God activities, outside attention, no seeking, no interest in self, emotionally closed, passivity, reserved.


The God Isa and Goddess Kakini are the deities of this chakra. It contains brahma granthi. This chakra is considered as entry point into vigyanmaya kosha. Divine inspirations are generated from heart chakra. Even in some scriptures it is symbolized as surya chakra. The two interlaced triangles represent the place where the lower and upper energy merges. A droplet of divine nectar falls from the crescent moon within the interior triangle. The Kalpaturu is called the Celestial Wishing Tree. It is found in a subsidiary chakra of eight petals.

The Vishuddhi chakra

The name vishuddhi is amalgamation of two words vish (poison), shuddhi (purification). It is known as the purification centre as it purifies and harmonizes all opposites and all poisons. In vishuddhi, the poison and nectar are separated and refined.

This is the center of communication and self expression which includes verbal expression, expression of feelings, emotions, ideas, creativity and spirituality. This communication is done through eyes, nose, speech, ear, and hands. As its name suggest, it challenges us to purify the content and purpose of our words. The emotion regulated by this chakra is joy. It transmutes prana into unconditional joy as it moves upwards. Anger is stored in this center. It is related to diplomacy and purity in relationship with others. When activated, this chakra removes all our guilt, remorse, tendencies to dominate others or to feel dominated by others, the feelings of superiority or inferiority and all jealousies.

Capacity to hear is related to this chakra which includes not only hearing something from outside but from our inner core also. It is intimately connected to the power of sound and symbolize a consciousness free from matter. The sensory element associated with it is hearing, and its motor output is talking, the tongue. There is a relationship between what we hear and what we say. Hence we have the saying 'deaf and dumb'. In order to be able to speak, one must actually first have heard. This chakra represents the union of mind, body and spirit. Its importance is more on spiritual level than on physical level. It is associated with imagination, visualization, perception of light, transdence. This chakra is free from karmic factors and its activation helps us deal with factors which are both personal and of group origin. The power to affect and alter other's karma is enhanced by this chakra. This chakra is the only chakra that merges directly with cosmic energy.

Direct knowing is the first function of this chakra. Rational thinking requires deduction or anticipation before conclusion while knowing / perception through aagya chakra is marked by immediacy and directness. Inflated egos, arrogance, aggressiveness, condemnation, contempt, and worry cause this Chakra to be blocked thereby inviting suffering. Lack of discipline, judgement, evaluation, emotional intelligence etc has been observed when it is malfunctioning.

It is the place where power of silence is experienced. When activated, our thought waves elongate so that the space between the two thoughts grows wider. This space is Silence and as the petals of the Chakra open up, silence blossoms pushing our thoughts to the periphery of our awareness. This is where the state of thoughtless awareness or Nirvikalpa Samadhi happens through the grace of God. In this state we actually feel the beautiful Silence, the Stillness, which is at the heart of creation.

The endocrine glands pineal and pituitary are associated with it, whose working depends upon various factors like, physical conditions, environment, behavior, intention, and belief.



It acts in two phases, first as a receiver of information from universal energy and in second secretes various hormones that will work on sexual level. It is affected by waning and waxing cycles of the moon as the Ida and Pingla are with these cycles.

Physical aspects:

It is associated with eyes, ears, pituitary, pineal glands, nose, throat, neurological system, forehead, temple region, hindbrain, sleep patterns, sexual maturation and repair of body tissue through various glands. It has an important influence on memory. The pineal gland is a light sensitive gland that produces the hormone melatonin, which regulates the instincts of going to sleep and awakening (biological clock). It also produces trace amounts of the psychedelic chemical dimethyltryptamine.

Physical symptoms of blockage include migraines, brain tumors, spinal dysfunctions, panic, depression strokes, blindness, deafness, seizures, pain at the base of the skull, learning disabilities, lack of Concentration, forgetfulness, blindness or weak eyesight, headaches etc.

Using crystal with reiki

Crystals absorb energy of surroundings which include thought forms of nearby people and therefore crystals even when not in use need to be cleansed on regular basis. Most commonly used method for cleaning them is to leave them overnight in rock salt water. In morning put them in running water for say 1 or 2 minutes. Now keep the crystal between your hands and give reiki to it. It is advised that you charge crystal for specific healing purpose, like if you want your heart to be healed, then while giving reiki to crystal, request the crystal to help you heal your heart whenever you use it.

Steps to give reiki to you

1. Calm down, relax. Take 3-4 deep breaths. Get into meditative state. Release physical strain, loosen up neck and back. Sit erect and attentive.

2. Bring your attention towards the Sahasrara chakra and visualize it spinning, radiating white light.

3. Invoke Reiki and Sanjavani. The heartfelt prayer charged by powerful emotions.

“Sanjivani – 3, shiv shiva ki sanjivani, siddh guruo ki sanjivani, maa bhagwati sanjivani aur reiki mein aapka aawahan karta hu. Mein aapse prarthna karta hu ki aap mere sahasrara chakra, dono netro aur shiv netra aur dono haatho se pravahit ho. Mein sabhi siddh guru, samast devi devtao, sabhi siddh chetnao ka aawahan karta hu.”

While chanting above prayer visualize a white light ray coming from universe and entering into your sahasrara chakra.

4. Now mentally say that “ho Bhagwan shiv se sanjivani sabhi siddh uruo mein, siddh uruo se mere immediate guruo mein, mere immediate guruo se sanjivani meri aatma mein prawahit ho rahi hai”. I am perfectly connected with the param tatva bhagwan shiva (say this last line 3 times).

5. Now visualize that this light is penetrating every cell of your body. Every cell, every nadi and every chakra is now completely filled with this divine white light and you are like a light emitting sphere. Now say that “I am divinely protected and guided”.

6. Now send reiki to mooladhara chakra. “Mein maa bhagwati sanjivani aur reiki se prarthna karta hu ki aap mere mooladhar chakra mein prawahit ho”. Visualize white light going into mooladhara chakra and this chakra is now filled with white light and spinning very fast.

7. Now release karmic impressions. “Mein maa bhagwati sanjivani aur reiki se prarthna karta hu ki mere mooladhara chakra mein job hi karmic impression aur unwanted energy ho usse isi chad



release kare”. “Say mentally released released released”. While you say this last line visualize that the mooladhara chakra is now spnning more faster and intensity of white light has dramatically increased. Now say “My mooladhara chakra is healed”.

8. Repeat steps 6 and 7 for whichever chakra you want to heal. For healing any particular chakra just replace chakra with that organ. Have intension that “this organ is healed”. “It is completely healthy and is in harmony with nature.”

Remember that the secret of any meditation or healing technique is practice. The more you practice the more you easily get into session. Drive faster results and above all understand the nitty-gritty associated with these things. In time you will be able to formulate your own procedure like custom prayer and visualization.

4. Now mentally say that “ho Bhagwan shiv se sanjivani sabhi siddh uruo mein, siddh uruo se mere immediate guruo mein, mere immediate guruo se sanjivani meri aatma mein prawahit ho rahi hai”. I am perfectly connected with the param tatva bhagwan shiva (say this last line 3 times).

5. Now visualize that this light is penetrating every cell of your body. Every cell, every nadi and every chakra is now completely filled with this divine white light and you are like a light emitting sphere.

6. Now say the name of the person whom you want to send reiki. Visualize his face and him. “Mein <person name> ka aawahan karta hu”.



7. “Mein maa bhagwati sanjivani aur reiki se prarthna karta hu ki aap mere dono netro aur shiv netra se <person name> ke heart chakra mein prawahit ho. Visualize that there a white light ray reiki going from your aagya chakra to his heart chakra.

8. Now visualize reiki symbol for making bridge say its name 3 times and visualize it going from your aagya chakra to his heart chakra. Imagine that he is now completely covered by white light. Keep doing this for some time.

9. Now release karmic impressions from him. “Mein maa bhagwati sanjivani aur reiki se prarthna karta hu ki <person name> heart chakra mein job hi karmic impression aur unwanted energy ho usse isi chad release kare. Visualize his chakra now spinning faster. “Released released released”. While saying this last line visualize grey and black energy coming out from his chakra and getting thrown to the universe.

10. Now say <person name> ka heart chakra is healed. 3 times. Visualize him flied with joy, happiness and inner peace.

11. Now make Raku and cut the channel between you and him mentally. Bring back attention to your own aagya chakra and express your gratitude towards God for healing and towards that person for allowing you to heal him.

12. Take deep breath and come out of meditative state. Drink plenty of water and also ask that person to drink the water. Congratulations you are done.

While chanting above prayer visualize a white light ray coming from universe and entering into your sahasrara chakra.

6. Now visualize the Sun, the Surya devta, his brightness and say “Mein surya devta ka aawahan karta hu”. 3 times. “Hai surya devta mein aapka aabhari hu”.

7. Now request reiki and sanivani to flow into surya. “Mein maa bhagwati sanjivani aur reiki se prarthna karta hu ki aap mere dono netro aur shiv netra se surya devta mein prawahit ho”. Visualize white liht going from your aagya chakra to the sun. Keep imagining for atleast 1-2 minutes.

8. Now request surya devta to mix his energy and send back it to you. This returned energy is called “Mrit Sanjivani”. “Mein surya devta se prarthna karta hu ki aap apani urja aur prakash mere aagya chakra mein prawahit karein”. Visualise that extremely bright white light is now coming towards you, into your aagya chakra.

9. Now bring attention towards your house. Visualise your home, every room. Now request Mrit sanjiani to flow into evry room of your house. “Mein maa bhagwati sanjivani aur reiki se prarthna karta hu ki aap mere ghar ke sabhi kamro mein prawahit ho”. Visualize extremely white light flling every room and every corner of your house. It is as if your house is a light sphere; like a sun itself.

10. Now request Mrit sanjivani to release all the unwanted energy. . “Mein maa bhagwati sanjivani aur reiki se prarthna karta hu ki mere ghar mein jaha bhi job hi unwanted energy ho usse isi chad release karein”. “My home is healed”. 3 times.

11. Visulise that your house is now filled with white light. Visualise family members filled with joy, love and happiness. Congratulations you are done.

Protecting your home and things

Whenever you are going outstation make Choku Rei and Sei he ki on the main door with an intention that “My house is divinely protected”. “It is now safe for me to leave the house go and come back”.

Similarly when you want to protect anything say for example you are traveling and want to protect your bag from being stolen, then make Choku Rei and Sei he ki on that bag with intention “My this bag is divinely protected”. “It is absolutely safe for me to release tensions about this bag”.
