THE CHURCH SYSTEM OF MAN"JUDGE NOT ACCORDING TO THE APPEARANCE, BUT JUDGE RIGHTEOUS

JUDGMENT." (JESUS in John7:24).

mans system ofchurch rehabilitation

Back in 1976, on the Three Day Walk through Chicago and after going from church-to-church, the

Lord would lead past a cemetery and there revealed that these churches were like the tombs, white-

washed but full of DEAD MEN'S BONES. Stinging though it was, Jesus did not present that insight

with any condemnation but stated it as a simple fact.

FEAR is taught in the church system of man for many reasons, but one primary reason is that

man's system is "powerless" to change man's inner nature and knows this, therefore uses fear as a

way to compensate for a lack of power, to contain the sin nature by appearances of righteousness.

The Sunday Blue Suit, the many ways of man's system constantly presents us with an easy way of

Page 3: RELATIONSHIP_part2_D

The Staff and The Sword MinistryRelationship Reports

being righteous by looking that way, by acting that way. But, the unsaved, the outright sinner is notdeceived by it, and ridicules openly this double standard of the Church today, Saints on Sunday,Devils the rest of the week.

STEP 1: UNDERSTANDING YOUR UNRIGHTEOUSNESSWhen you begin to draw closer to Jesus by the Spirit of God, you will be more and more aware ofyour own unrighteous condition. Your own lack of worth will fade away in His Light as you drawnear Him. You will be struck by the most blessed experience that there is neither condemnation inHim for you over it, and that He "already knew that" but sees in you the potential He gave you andthat His Love is boundless and sweet. Not until you come to experience His Love in this respect willyou begin to see the sharp contrast between Jesus and the church system of man.

It's "IN JESUS' LOVE" that youwill first come to see your own lackofworth, and begin to understand

the dimension of your own weaknesses and short-comings-this is step one. And the blessedness

is in finding His Love is constant and He is very aware of your sin nature but without condemning

you at all.

STEP 2: JESUS HAS THE ANSWERS!Now you understand what step one is. In the next step you will learn that while by His Spirit youwill come to see and understand the source of your own troubles, that you in your self have NOanswers, only He does!

SEEKING JESUS"THE LORD IS GOOD UNTO THEM THAT WAIT FOR HIM, TO THE SOUL THAT

SEEKETH HIM" (Lam. 3:35).

This Scripture is drawn out at this point because it clearly speaks of the "HOW" of overcoming the

sin nature: SEEK HIM with PATIENCE. And implied in this Scripture is ENDURING PATIENCE

in SEEKING THE LORD.

The previous sketch shows a Christian behind bars, in a prison and that prison of man's system is

OUTWARD APPEARANCE It is identical in principle to the modern penal system, and works as

well as it does.

OPPORTUNITY & THE THIEFIf we can liken the sin nature we all have to say a THIEF-the society arrests the thief, sends the thief

Page 4: RELATIONSHIP_part2_D

The Staff and The Sword MinistryRelationship Reports

to jail to reform him. But in truth, what really happens is that the OPPORTUNITY the thief has to

steal is removed, he is enclosed in a cage of steel and brick. The thief is given a uniform, is compelled

to follow daily rigors, various disciplines designed to re-structure his behavioral patterns. But, in

large part, little is ever done on the INNER MAN but much is done on the OUTER MAN. Once his

time is up and he is set free, the vast majority of thieves, once having the OPPORTUNITY will steal

again, once he is free to steal. Nothing has really changed.

The church system of man does the same. Individuality is suppressed in favor of local codes of

morality and ethics and we are constrained by a variety of activities to live out a RIGHTEOUS

APPEARANCE, much like the daily rigors of prison life-we conform to a dress code like a convict's

uniform as this becomes an outward symbol of righteous appearance.

Any of us, having OPPORTUNITY and facing a strong temptation, will too readily cave into the sin

nature-telling us that in fact we lack power over that sin nature. Is the answer in a church prison

system?

It is in this terrible environment that many of God's children are trapped, and when they slip they

may repent, but try and escape what's in them by hiding behind the prison bars. This in turn drives

many to do GOOD WORKS and that revives the "earning heaven by works" doctrine that so subtly

has an almost invisible hold on churchgoers. In trying to compensate for a sin nature they cannot

control or get power to overcome, they are moved by self-condemnation to justify themselves in

good works'.

How does Jesus see them? With love, compassion, concern-for many truly desire to be free only no

one around them knows how, or is willing to admit the commonness of the problem.

LETTING GO vs. HOLDING ONThe answer is in JESUS CHRIST, for He has the power to overcome. More, He has already overcome

what we cannot. What's involved is LETTING GO and letting God set us free of what we cannot

break free of ourselves. The only way we can come to the place where we "LET GO AND LET GOD"

is out of a real living relationship with Jesus, where we Know Him and have learned to truly Trust

Him more than ourselves. That is a process, a transition and it takes time.

We have all been so taught to HOLD ON that we can only LET GO by stages, but the good news is

that Jesus is not pushing us or rushing us, only we do.

The Staff and The Sword MinistryRelationship Reports

One of the blessed purposes of drawing close to Jesus by the Spirit, and abiding in His Love, is thathere in Him, we are totally free of all condemnation, of all guilt, of all fear-simply resting in HisLove heals us in deep ways we cannot begin to see at first, we are refreshed and find a growingfreedom in and out of Him from all the old sin nature and a power to overcome unlike we everbefore knew.

When in Jesus' presence I was overwhelmed by an awareness of unworth, of being sinful and all

messed-up; but how gentle He was, without a word Jesus made it plain He knew me, what I was and

what I was not but that above all He loved me, He forgave me, He would never turn from me.

THE EFFECT OF JESUS' LOVEWhat effect did Jesus' Love have on me?

In His Love, I began to receive without fear of condemnation, and I found it so wonderfully sweetto be able to talk to Him who knew everything about me, I did not have to justify myself or explainanything. That was when my sin nature began to fall away, in that Love of Jesus it became more andmore apparent to me that He was seeing me as He had given me the potential of being in Him, a sonof God, His brother, His friend. Then, a time later, I encountered the church system of man.

Here, I found myself in a battlefield where accusation, condemnation, judgments, flashed back andforth like machine gun fire in a war-Love would emerge briefly while all sides were reloading. When I became the target of day, barrages or accusation would come relentlessly, and in a time Irealized that the actual effect was to create in me inclinations to sin I never had.

Man's system is like a tar pit in which all are stuck, when Jesus began to draw me out, those in thetar reached out to pull me back in. I began to see and understand what Paul the Apostle meant whenhe referred to those who hated their freedom in Christ and how they sought to re-bind those whowere being set free in Christ.

THE TRANSITIONWhen you begin to make the transition from man's system of righteousness to putting on therighteousness of Christ, you will have the GRACE of God to cover you for in that transition, you willmake mistakes but you need to realize that the Grace of God is given to cover you in that time, untilyou can make the transition.

That the Church is not what it should be today, will make it difficult and trialsome, for men will spy

out your freedom in Christ and look for, wait for, the slightest error in you to level condemnations,

to drive fear into you, to drive you away from Christ and back to man.

THE PROBLEM OF REDIRECTIONMany leave the church prison system, then fall trap to their sin nature, and for want of a realrelationship with Jesus elect to return to the prison as the only way to overcome the problem, butit's never overcome. It is merely contained and then redirected.

Redirected? In the Church today, accusation, condemnation, gossip, lies, hatred, strife, divisions,

tumults, and more nourish to the extent that it becomes obvious this suppressed sin nature is

merely redirected and emerges in other ways. When the unsaved, those outside the church system,

can so easily and rightly define the hypocrisy in the Church (and I have heard if from too many

unsaved over the years) tells me that it is a widespread condition.

The wave of liberalism in the church today has it's foundation in this. When we see portions of the

church system of man attempting to justify the homosexual in the Church as an acceptable life

style, what we are really seeing is an open admission that there is no power in the church system

to set men and women free of this specific sin nature. And I've heard from ministers the most

unexpected comment, whereby they would resist praying for the sick, lest they be healed and cause

a controversy. So in come cases, it's not so much that they do not know where the answer lies, but

that they have the keys to the kingdom but won't enter in, or let anyone else either.

I present this subject, not as an open criticism of the church system but as blunt observation of

what's evident. It is a tragic condition, much of it because men just do not knowwhat they are doing,

and some because they do know what they are doing. But I have no leading to search out the nature

of it past seeing this and am led to make this observation.

FAITH vs. BELIEFThe church system of man is powerless because they have not learned to look to or to truly Trust

Jesus Christ in all things, for all things. Those who openly state their Faith in Christ with resolve,

often fail to obtain or appropriate the desires of their hearts. They do not realize that the mere

expression of Faith is "BELIEF" not faith, and while it has a power it is limited by itself is hollow for

anything, any doctrine apart from Jesus is lastly a dead letter, and APPROPRIATION speaks of a

relationship with Jesus Himself, who is the source of all things.

APPEARANCE: TWO MAJOR POINTS

1. REALIZATION OF YOUR OWN SIN NATURE

We are, each of us, products of this church system in many ways that we hardly can understand at

first. As we draw close to Jesus, we begin to be set free of the artificial restraints of the `system' and

the inner sin-nature begins to emerge. When Scripture speaks of the Saints being refined like gold,

it speaks of fire bubbling out the impurities, and as you draw closer to Jesus, His Love and Light has

that effect, the effect of FIRE, and so what's impure in us emerges to the surface. What emerges is

the sin nature. If you never realize you had it, in a time you will find out you do.

Istate this, this being my experience, that when it happens the first thing one thinks of is running to

prison to be safe. At this point we need to carefully search just who we truly Trust in, Jesus or man!

We will always face the decision or either going through the fire of refinement or turning back and

away from Jesus. Like the three Hebrew men who put their Trust in the Lord and were then thrown

bound into the fiery furnace-the Lord stood with them and the fire only burned off their "bonds".

Most when facing the furnace fires, without understanding, decide to worship the false god as the

safest route but perhaps theworst route to go, is to go into the fire without reallyTrusting in the Lord.

That's why a real living relationship is so important, for in and out of it, you learn and experience

His faithfulness, His unending, unfailing love. Without having that, one cannot endure.

2. INNER CHANGE

As you draw closer to Jesus, by the Spirit, a deep inner change will begin in you, one you will hardly

see but others will and you will face envy, hatred and accusation. You cannot help being hurt, but

you must not join the frenzy of returning blow-for-blow. Ever in prayer, you need practice and do as

Scripture requires: forgive, pray and bless. The overriding thing to remember here is: EVER LOOK

TO JESUS AND HIS LOVE!

God Bless,

RELATIONSHIP

PART6SOULINTERFERENCE

INTRODUCTIONThis report is written to raise your awareness and to give some insight by which Scriptures may

be opened the more to you. This reports is also written to give you some insight into how you can

feel distress in your emotions (soul) from adverse circumstances, yet at the same time have an

abiding inner peace.

TREASURE IN EARTHEN VESSELS"BUT WE HAVE TREASURE IN EARTHEN VESSELS . . ." (H Corinthians 4:7),

We need to understand that the "Kingdom of God is within" (Luke 17:21) each of us. By meditating

on Jesus and abiding in His Love, we slowly come to know Him personally. We then gradually

come to the place where we have an inner peace that is never shaken, and yet we can be shaken.

The contrast between having peace and being in a turmoil at the same time will cause confusion or

worse, so long as we do not understand why this is so.

So I call it SOUL INTERFERENCE-it is a catch phrase-something designed to be remembered.

It is not that the Soul interferes (although it can), but rather, by God's design, the soul is a vehicle

that contains, nurtures, the born again spirit in Christ. Paul, in the Bible repeatedly referred to this

WOMAN but was really talking not GALS but SOULS.

In the Friends Report (titled "Nature of Self") written back in September 1983, this subject was

explored, and found to be more expansive than I would go into here just now. But, how I came to

know that WOMAN in certain Scriptures is equal to the soul' is worth exploring.

On April 25, 1983, IN THE SPIRIT, I came into union with Jesus Christ and it was as if I had never

seen anything except dimly so, but now I saw as He saw and understood as He understood. In that

blessedness of that union with Jesus, one would write with understanding but many would think

I had gone mad. But, it was truly an ecstasy in Jesus and His Love that filled me, with a blessed

assurance, a warmth and knowing, a patient confidence that changed me even unto my soul.

Those who knew me and seen me before, would in this time remark later that at that time I spokewith a difference, and was super-charged and they knew it. Then it began, from one place to another, brethren attacked me with ever greater fury, and one outspoken brother would constantly interferewith a meeting, would openly refuse to receive brotherly love or return it until I "submitted myselfto the rightful church authority and conformed". The shouts of deception hardly phased me, untilthis time I received a letter from a brother I knew, loved and respected, who accused me fiercely ofdeception. The hurt was immense, and anger rose in my soul, illness followed like a thunderbolt.I would not waver between "inner peace" and "outer turmoil" and never was it so clear to me (onreflection) that my soulwas "troubled" but Iwas in no"distress" in my spirit. However, the troubles inmy soul like a great dust storm would severely block out the inner knowing by my spirit in Christ.

It was just before these events, and after union with Jesus, that the knowing quietly emerged in me

and the WOMAN Paul spoke of in Scriptures was really the SOUL.

SOUL vs. SPIRIT"WE ARE TROUBLED ON EVERY SIDE, YET NOT DISTRESSED; WE ARE PER-

PLEXED, BUT NOT IN DESPAIR." (II Corinthians 4:8).

When Paul wrote this in Corinthians, what he was describing was a common experience we all

have, only he was aware of the fact that the soul gets troubled, but the spirit is never shaken.

In 1983, from May to June, I would fluctuate from a severe soul trouble, to time of spiritual calm. In

the SOULTROUBLETIMES, the interference of the soul grew so intense in areas where accusations

had been laid, that I got only a very MIXED WORD from the Lord. When a time of SPIRITUAL

CALM came, I would possess my own soul and see clearly. The whole experience was so intense,

that after a time of rest and recovery, I would then see and understand the relationship of our spirit

to our soul.

BORN AGAIN vs. CONCEPTIONNot long ago Jesus plainly told me that what the Church today calls BORN AGAIN is actuallyCONCEPTION. The sketches on this page (below) show two versions (two views) of this.

One version/view is the sketch of the two trees presents one view, our self nature is full developed

and the born again part of us is a sprout. Here is the first version/view:

The second version /view (the sketch that has the outline of the gal with child) is more accurate. The

BORN AGAIN is within SELF and that BORN AGAIN or CONCEIVED LITTLE ONE is the child of

God through Jesus Christ. Here is that second view/version:

woman(soul)

rn,in

The Apostle Paul in the New Testament, understood this, but also knew he was teaching "carnally

minded", so used natural and evident facts to "bridge the carnal minded to the spiritually minded

truths". It was Jesus who taught Paul, and it's Jesus who will teach us all-but we do not have to

go far to see that Jesus taught this before. In John 3:3, Jesus answers Nicodemus saying, " . . .

EXCEPT A MAN BE BORN AGAIN HE CANNOT SEE THE KINGDOM OF GOD . . . ."

Nicky [short for Nicodemus} clearly understands what Jesus has said, but not how it is to be done.

So, Jesus then says to him, " . . . EXCEPT A MAN BE BORN OF WATER AND OF THE

SPIRIT . . ." (John 3:5).

The insight given me reveals Jesus, as Paul, as John in Revelation and other prophets in the Old

Testament, say and speak of "SPIRITUAL" birth. Until one believes in Jesus, there is no conception,

but when on believes in Jesus, conception happens, a new creature, a "man-child" begins to form

within each of us.

Now the "Natural" example Jesus gave, and Paul pursued, is simply a way by which we who are

carnal minded can come to grasp the essential outline of spiritual truths that we would normally

Page 12: RELATIONSHIP_part2_D

The Staff and The Sword MinistryRelationship Reports

have no way of grasping at all.

Let's just see some of them:

1. A woman (gal) with child (pregnant) goes through a considerable change in body chemistry

and emotions. And a guy or gal who receives Jesus as Lord and Savior goes through a like

change in many ways or parallels.

2. A woman (gal) with child comes to think more of her child than herself-reminds me of John

the Baptist's statement, "He (Christ) must become more and I less and less."

3. The external environment of the pregnant woman effects the development of her child-

shelter, clothing, food, even loving support by family are all important factors in the child's

proper development.

These are all natural realities and facts-but they also directly relate to the growth of the MAN-

CHILD within each of us. However, this "new creature in Christ" within us, develops at a much

slower pace, and actual birthing into this world of a man-child' comes only when there is "strength

to deliver the child". Unless we have a living relationship with Jesus, we won't have the strength

to deliver. In the past 2,000 years of Church history since Paul's time, actual "birthing" has to my

knowledge never happened. But it has always been possible through Christ.

SEEING JESUS FACE-TO-FACE"FOR NOWWE SEE THROUGH A GLASS, DARKLY BUT THEN FACE TO FACE: NOWI

KNOWIN PART; BUT THEN SHALL IKNOWEVEN AS ALSO I AM KNOWN [emphasis

added}." (I Corinthians 13:12).

In the RELATIONSHIP REPORT #1 [NOTE.' On this website that is.' Relationship Reports,Part 3, The How Explained} it was seen that the Kingdom of God is "WITHIN US". In Jesus'

Word given in the book of John (chapter 3) Jesus tells us, one cannot see the Kingdom of God until

we are BORN AGAIN and Jesus would tell me this year that SPIRITUAL CONCEPTION is birth-

what we call BORN AGAIN.

Thus it's seen, that as we focus on Jesus in meditation, we enter into a relationship with Him through

this "new creature".

This INNER SPIRITUALMAN is not some alien being, but our true self in Christ. As we draw closer

to Jesus, we also draw closer to our true self in Christ. The other SELF with the sin nature, is not

destroyed but transformed to conform to the likeness and image of God, which again is in Christ.

[soul]

bornagain

But, for the time, we have not BIRTHED, so let us look at what Paul is saying here and keep thesketch [see the sketch just above this paragraph}in mind as the bridge: that is, work from a naturaltruth to a spiritual truth. When we turn our focus to Jesus in meditation, we are at first seeingthrough a glass (soul) darkly, but then we see Him face-to-face.

THE "HOW" OF GROWTH IN CHRISTPaul is in a beautiful poetic way, led by the Holy Spirit, describing the "HOW" of growth in Christ,as one looks to Jesus and abides the more in His Love. There are two vital points here:

1. The SOUL is the glass we see through darkly. And, again it is seen that it is a process whereby

we learn, as we look to Jesus, to see better. We will have to accept the partial' without

complaint, and in patient forbearance, we shall then know'.

2. As we draw near Jesus in Love, we also merge our soul with our spiritual man in Christ. It

seems to me, to happen without any thought or intent in drawing near to Jesus, this becomes

a reality as well.

Our SOUL is made up of our free will, our carnal mind, our emotions which are animated (become

living) by a spirit lodged in our soul. When New Testament Scripture speaks of "filthiness of spirit",

it speaks of this self-centered spirit in our souls, not the NEW CREATURE of SPIRITUAL MAN IN

CHRIST. Thus this SELF-SPIRIT in the soul (not the new creature in Christ) is the DARK part of

the glass (soul) Paul speaks of, and only through Christ Jesus is it overcome.

Page 14: RELATIONSHIP_part2_D

SOUL TROUBLES vs. INNER PEACE & CALMAs noted at the start of this report: this report is written to raise your awareness of this dimensionof our being, to give some insight by which Scriptures may be opened the more to you. Also, to giveyou some insight into how you can feel distress in your emotions (soul) from adverse circumstances, yet at the same time have an abiding inner peace.

Over the years in my relationship with Jesus, I was vaguely aware of this `dual condition' but unable

to sharply distinguish the cause of it. But, in the April to June 1983 period, a time of intense troubles

of all sorts raised the level of SOUL TROUBLES so high in me, that the contrast to the INNER

PEACE really stood out. So sharp was the difference that it became possible to clearly see that

troubles were in the soul, not in "my spiritual man in Christ".

I recall many years ago before meeting Jolanta, I tried very hard to date another girl who flatly

refused and I prayed much for weeks about this and persisted, so did she-in saying NO. Then, three

weeks into this situation, as I drew near Jesus I was IN THE SPIRIT and saw a wall between me

and her. An angel appeared and told me to use the authority given to me to knock the wall down. In

the natural mind it never occurred to me to do this and I had no reason to think it a bad idea-but

IN THE SPIRIT my soul was united with "my spiritual man in Christ" and what I said in reply was

"news to me"' and so, I stated, "God put up the wall, who are you to tell me to knock it down." Keep

in mind, that I had prayed three weeks asking God to arrange a date with her, and if I even remotely

thought it was not God's Will I would have stopped. But, in drawing near Jesus, I was united with

my true self in Christ, and had the conscious Mind of Christ-I KNEW!!! Well, the angel shed it's

light and turns out was a fallen angel-and then, I drove it off in Jesus' Name.

SEEK JESUS FIRSTThe Christian that seeks Jesus First, just to know Him will be kept by Jesus. "SEEK YE FIRST

THE KINGDOM OF GOD . . . " and then, and only then, will ALL WILL BE ADDED.

God Bless,
