No. Edu(P&S),H&T,F&CS,L&PIIVIP/23/2014, dated 20.3.2015 from Shri Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, Hon'ble Minister of Education(Primary & Adult), Higher and Technical Education, Food, Civil supplies and Consumer affairs, Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs, Government of Gujarat seeking relaxation in specifications of wheat for Rabi Marketing Season 20] 5-20] 6 due to unseasonal rainfall in Gujarat. 2. In order to reduce the hardship of farmers and to avoid distress sale of wheat, it has been decided to procure wheat in Gujarat with the following relaxations in the uniform specifications of wheat during the Rabi Marketing Season 2015-16 with immediate effect: (i) Lustre lost wheat containing up to 10% affected kernels may be purchased without value cut. (ii) Lustre lost wheat containing more than 10% and up to 25% affected kernels may be purchased with 1I4thof one full value cut on flat basis. 3. Wheat so procured shall be stacked and accounted for separately. 4. Lustre lost wheat will be issued on over-riding priority irrespective of FIFO principle and will be consumed with in the State of Gujarat for TPDS and other welfare schemes only.
