FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE RE/MAX Named Top Franchisor for Real Estate Leads all competitors for third consecutive year INDIANAPOLIS – (October 13, 2011) – For the third year in a row, RE/MAX was ranked as the number one real estate franchisor by Franchise Times ® magazine. Results from the 2011 Franchise Times Top 200 Survey identify RE/MAX in the 15th position overall, far outpacing other national real estate brands and placing the company among such top franchises as McDonalds, 7-Eleven and Subway. The rankings were primarily based on worldwide sales volume. “The number-one real estate ranking by Franchise Times once again demonstrates the strength of the RE/MAX brand here in Indiana and across the country,” said Dan Breault, executive vice president, regional director at RE/MAX of Indiana. “Even in times of economic uncertainty, with the ups and downs of the housing market, our franchise owners are fueling the success of the RE/MAX brand.” Founded in 1987, RE/MAX of Indiana is made up of more than 80 offices that are independently owned and operated, with nearly 1,200 sales associates. In 2010, RE/MAX was Indiana’s real estate market leader with $2.3 billion in annual sales. RE/MAX was also named a Top 100 Global Franchise by franchisedirect.com. In addition, two national industry surveys ranked RE/MAX agents as the most productive among all other national franchises. In one survey, RE/MAX held 21 of the top 25 positions when ranked by agent production. The Franchise Times Top 200 is an annual financial snapshot of the 200 most successful U.S.-based franchise companies as measured by worldwide sales.
