May 25, 2020 Dear Fifth Grade Parents, On behalf of the Ada Merritt K-8 Center Administration and The Fifth Grade Teachers we are congratulating the Fifth Grade Class of 2O20 for all their achievements and hard work throughout the school year. On Monday, June 1, 2020, we invite all fifth-grade students to come to a Drive-Thru Celebration, in the school’s Circular Driveway. This will give us an opportunity to end the school year and send our best wishes. Students and families are encouraged to decorate their cars. It is required that you display your child’s name and last name on the dashboard. All students will be recognized when they drive-thru in their cars through the Circular Driveway. If a student’s family has no access to a vehicle, please email Ms. Carmen Garcia, Principal, to make arrangements at [email protected]. The student should be sitting in the passenger side of the car, and must be wearing a mask. Remember that everyone must remain inside their vehicles at all times. As a friendly reminder, please return the following school items at this time: 1) Library books that were checked out 2) Science books (Ms. Torres’ Class) 3) Spanish book El lugar mas bonito del mundo (Mr. Rodriguez’s Class) 4) Laptops that were checked out if the student is not returning to Ada Merritt K-8 Center for 2020-2021 school year. Our Drive-Thru Celebration will be divided by homeroom classes: 9:00 - 9:30 am - Ms. Torres’ Homeroom Class 9:30 - 10:00 am - Ms. Lenita’s Homeroom Class 10:00 - 10:30 am - Ms. Morera’s Homeroom Class 10:30 - 11:00 am - Mr. Rodriguez’s Homeroom Class As a final tribute to the Fifth Grade Class of 2020 we invite all students and their families to view their memories from this school year. Videos will be made available to students and their families as of Monday, June 1, 2020. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to your child’s homeroom teacher.
