“March comes in like a lion, and goes out like a lamb.” This meteo-rological idiom is being refl ected in our wintry early March weather forecasts, and we are hopeful that March’s departure will also go out like a lamb and bring with it spring-like weather. These March weather-wise words may or may not always hold true to form. This March descriptor also affords an opportunity to be reminded of spiritual truths of which we can be certain. March’s lion-like beginning may serve to remind us of Satan’s tactics described by Peter in these words; “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around

like a roaring lion looking for some-one to devour.” 1 Peter 5:8 Satan’s devious and diabolical temptations are certainly not restricted to a single month. As we look forward with anticipation to the lamb-like departure of March and welcome spring, so we also fi nd comfort and confi dence in the Lamb of Revela-tion 17:14 that says; “They will wage war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will triumph over them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings.” Thank God for our victorious Lamb, Jesus Christ.
