TheJBLCommercial®CSRseriesremotecontrols,includingCSR-V,CSR-2SV,andCSR-3SV,canuseanalogDCvoltagetoprovidelogiccontrolrangingfromsourceselectionandvolume.WiredwithCat5cablewithuniversallyacceptedRJ-45connectorsupto1000feet(305m)length,theCSRseriesremotecontrolsallowyoutoremotelyselectthesourceand/orcontrolthevolumeontheCSMmixer.

UsingCSR-VremotecontrolwithyourCSMmixer,youcanremotelycontrolthevolumeofthesourceselectedbythemixer.UsingCSR-2SVorCSR-3SVremotecontrolwithyourCSMmixer,youcanremotelycontrolthesourceonthemixerandthevolumeofthesource.

Using the Remote Control

SourceSelection

TheSourceSelectioncontrolontheremotecontrolonlyfunctionswhentheSourceSelectorknobforthatzoneissetto“REMOTE”onthemixer.Whentheremotecontrolisactive,thegreenLEDontheremotecontrolbelowtheSourceswitch(labelledACTIVE)lights.WhenthisLEDisnotlit,theremotesourcecontrolisnotoperational.

VolumeControl

TheLEVELonthemixerisALWAYSoperational,regardlesswhethertheSourceSelectorisactiveornot.ThisremotecontrolisATTENUATEONLY.

Tosetthevolumecontroloftheremotecontrol,youcanfollowthesteps:

1. TurntheremotecontrolLEVELtomaximum(fullclockwise).

2. Setthevolumecontrolonthemixertotheloudestyouwilleverneedthesystemtobe.

3. TurntheremotecontrolLEVELknobdowntoacomfortableortypicaloperatinglevel.Nowtheremotecontrolvolumecontrolcannotturnthevolumeupabovewhatissetonthemixer.

Trouble-shooting

Problem 1:ThegreenLEDontheremotecontrolbelowtheSourceswitch(labelledACTIVE)cannotbelit.

Solution:Innormalcases,theP11jumperonthePCBcannotbeaccessedbytheuserforanyoperation,yetisremovablefordisablingtheLED.IftheLEDisnotlit,youmaychecktheP11jumperisinstalledproperly.

Problem 2:Malfunctionbetweentheremotecontrolandthemixeroccurs.

Solution: Checkthecableandpinswiththefollowingdefinitions.
