of the servers goes down.

complete step 2 before setting up your account.

5 Quitting and Logging Off
After using Remote Desktop Services it is important that you quit
and log off. Failure to do this is a security risk. This is particularly important if
you are using RDS somewhere outside the EP. Note that if the RDS session
is inactive for more than one hour it will automatically log off and you will
lose any unsaved work.
There are two ways to log off RDS using the iPad.
The first is to open the start
menu (1) and click on the
log off button (2).
This will end your RDS
session and take you to the
Citrix Receiver interface.
Here tap on the "+" button
on the left hand side of the
screen.

virtual desktop you can tap
on the arrow on the top of
the screen.

specific menu.

Citrix Receiver interface.
But note that you will not
have logged off from the
RDS session. If you now tap
on "EP 7 Desktop" you will
return to your RDS session
as you left it.
If you take more than an
hour to return however the
RDS session will have
automatically logged off.
You can now fully log off by
tapping on "+".

Because you have not
logged off your RDS session
a message will appear.
This is a standard Citrix
Receiver message. Ignore
what it says about unsaved
data. Because of security
reasons your session will be
automatically logged off
after one hour on inactivity,
this means you will lose all
unsaved data.
Tap on "Log Off".
You have now fully logged
off your RDS sessions and

6 Troubleshooting
6.1 Keyboard issue You can encounter a mismatch between the letter you tap on the virtual keyboard and the
one displayed on the remote session (i.e. you tap on Q and you see an A on your Word
document).
In this situation, you have to change an option on the Citrix Receiver for Mac application.
Start the Citrix Receiver App.
Tap on the “gear” at the top right corner.
Tap on “Keyboard Options”.
Tap on “Automatic keyboard” button so that it changes from green to grey.
Tap on “Done”.
You can then start a new EP 7 Desktop session.
