TUESDAY LUNCH SESSION KEYNOTE SPEAKER
ANDREW URICH, J.D.Andrew L. Urich, J.D. is an interesting and enthusiastic communicator whohelps people get what they want.
Professor Urich is an Associate Professor of Management in the Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University and Director of Student Development in the Eastin Center for Talent Development.
In addition, he served as a member of the Executive MBA faculty of Zayed University in Abu Dhabi and Dubai (United Arab Emirates). Professor Urichreceived a law degree from Case Western Reserve University. Professor Urich taught at OSU-Kyoto, Japan and has led more than 25 travel and study abroad classes focusing on the topics of creativity and innovation in business.
Professor Urich is a lecturer, researcher, and consultant in the areas of influence, negotiation, and ethics. He is a two-time recipient of the Richard W. Poole Faculty Outreach Excellence Award. Other honors he has received are the following: the Greiner Outstanding Teacher Award, the University Outreach Faculty Excellence Award, the Regents Distinguished Teaching Award, and the Region V University Continuing Education Association (UCEA) Excellence in Teaching Award.
Professor Urich is an effective and entertaining communicator with both practical and academic experience.
2018 GOLF SCRAMBLE

DATE AND TIME
The golf scramble is Monday, May 14 2018. Registration / Check-in will begin at 10:30 AM with lunch starting at 11:00 AM and the shotgun start is at 12:00 PM.
The scramble will be played at:
Page Belcher Golf Club (Stone Creek Course) located at 6666 S. Union Avenue in Tulsa.
FORMAT
The format is a team scramble with all players hitting every shot. Each team will consist of four players, playing 18 holes of golf from a shotgun start. Watch for some fun holes! Mulligans will be sold at registration (limit 2 per player).
LUNCH
Buffet-style lunch is included and will be served before the tournament.
AWARDS
Awards will be presented to the top finishing teams in each flight, longest drive and closest to the hold. Two flights will be determined on the final posted scores and numbers of teams. The team with the lowest gross score will be awarded the coveted OWEA traveling golf trophy to keep and display for one year.

DESIGNING PEDESTRIAN FACILITIESFOR ACCESSIBILITY WORKSHOP
May 15-16, 2018
This two day training was designed to ensure that pedestrian facilities and access routes are properly constructed and maintained for all individuals, including those with disabilities. This training focuses on proper design and maintenance of pedestrian access routes in new construction or when existing facilities are altered. Participants are engaged through a power point presentation; small group exercises, videos and discussion, and a hands-on outdoor exercise. This training was developed to provide information and best practices for those involved in the design and maintenance of pedestrian facilities, and for those individuals that ensure the proper adherence to all applicable laws and guidelines. This course is taught from the perspective of the Public Rights-of- Way Accessibility Guidelines (PROWAG), a best practice for public rights of way.
The presenters are: Patrick Gomez, FHWA Resource Center, Civil Rights Specialist and Ted Green, Professional Engineer, New Jersey LTAP

•Background about the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA); Section 504 and other applicable laws•Characteristics of pedestrians and the pedestrian environment•Legal requirements; U.S. DOT and FHWA policies and funding opportunities•Accessible design elements of the pedestrian corridor•Accessible driveways and curb ramps•Street crossings, including crosswalks, overpasses, underpasses, medians and islands•Intersections, including roundabouts•Pedestrian signs and signals, including accessible pedestrian signals (APS)•Temporary facilities and construction site safety
