recognizesthis

need

and

is

introducing

the

GVEC

Renewable

Rebate

Program.

The

GVEC

Renewable

RebateProgramisdesignedtoencourageandpromotetheuseofrenewableresourcessuchassolar

andwind. Weatheryouownanexistinghomeorareconsideringbuildinganewhome,renewable

energyshouldbeincorporatedintoyourplans.

Withseveralrenewablerebateprogramstochoosefromtherearemanyopportunitiestosave.

Choosingtherightprogramthatwillbenefityoursituationthemostcanbechallenging. Besureto

consultwithaqualifiedcontractororaGVECMemberServicesAdvisortodeterminewhichrebate

programwouldhavethemostimpact. RebatesareeligibleonlyifcompletedbyalistedGVEC

QUALIFICATIONS: Maximumrebateis4kwor$8,000.00 Allworkshallbeperformedinaccordancewithallapplicablemanufacturerscodesand

standards. AllPVsystemsshallcarrya1yearwarrantyfromtheInstaller,andmanufacturerswarrantyof

20yearsonsolarpanelsand5yearsontheinverter. AllequipmentshallbenewandlistedbytheCaliforniaEnergyCommission(CEC)toqualifyfor

therebate. Sitelocationmusthaveminimalshadingbytrees,structures,etc. GVECreservestherightto

2. EstablishmentofPointofInterconnectionThepointwheretheelectricenergyleaves

the

wires

or

facilities

provided

by

the

Member

and

enters

the

wires

or

facilities

ownedbyGVECisthePointofInterconnection. (Thepointofinterconnectionwillbe

madeatGVECsdualregistermeter.) GVECandtheMemberagreetointerconnectthe

InstallationatthePointofInterconnectioninaccordancewithGVECsrules,

regulations,bylaws,andtariffs(Rules).

3. ResponsibilitiesofGVECandtheMember TheMember,atitsowncostandexpense,willinstall,operate,maintain,repair,inspect,andshallbefullyresponsiblefor

theInstallation.TheMemberagreestocausetheInstallationtobeconstructedand

operatedinaccordancewiththeRulesandspecificationsprovidedbytheNational

ElectricalSafetyCodeandtheNationalElectricalCode. TheMemberwillnotifyGVEC

ofany

emergency

or

hazardous

conditions

or

occurrences

with

the

Members

Installation,whichcouldaffectsafeoperationoftheGVECDistributionSystem.

GVECmaynotifytheMemberifthereisevidencethattheInstallationsoperation

causesdisruptionordeteriorationofservicetoothercustomersservedbyGVECorif

theInstallationsoperationcausesdamagetoGVECfacilities.

4. LimitationofLiabilityandIndemnificationa. TheMembershallassumeallliabilityforandshallindemnifyGVECandits

members,trustees,directors,officers,managers,employees,agents,

representatives,affiliates,andsuccessorsandassignsforandshallholdthem

harmlessfromandagainstanyclaims,losses,costs,andexpensesofanykindor

charactertotheextentthattheyresultfromtheMembersnegligence,

wrongfulconduct,orequipmentfailureinconnectionwiththedesign,

construction,installation,operation,ormaintenanceoftheInstallation.Such

indemnityshallinclude,butisnotlimitedto,financialresponsibilityfor(a)monetarylosses;(b)reasonablecostsandexpensesofdefendinganactionor

claim;(c)damagesrelatedtodeathorinjury;(d)damagesofproperty;and(e)

damagesforthedisruptionofbusiness.

b. GVECandtheMembershalleachberesponsibleforthesafeinstallation,maintenance,repair,andconditionoftheirrespectivelines,wires,switches,or

otherequipmentorpropertyontheirrespectivesidesofthePointof

Interconnection.GVECdoesnotassumeanydutyofinspectingtheMembers

lines,wires,switches,orotherequipmentorpropertyandwillnotbe

responsibletherefore.

c. TheMembershallprovidewrittennoticetoGVECwhentheInstallationisreadytobeenergizedandGVECpersonalshallinspectand,ifdeemedincompliance

withallGVECrules,shallenergizetheInstallation.

d. TheMembersInstallationshallbeequippedwithprotectivefeaturesdesignedtoprohibitconnectiontoadeenergizedelectricalcircuitownedandoperated

byGVEC.

e.A

manual

lockable

disconnect

must

be

installed

between

the

Members

InstallationandtheGVECDistributionSystem.

5. RightofAccessGVECmaysendanemployee,agent,orcontractortothepremisesoftheMemberatanytimewhetherbefore,during,orafterthetimetheInstallationfirst

producesenergytoinspecttheInstallationandobservetheInstallationssetup,

commissioning(includinganytesting),startup,operation,andmaintenance.

Atanytime,GVECshallhaveaccesstotheMemberspremisesforanyreasonable

purposeregardingtheinterconnectiondescribedinthisContract,theRules,orto

provideservicetoitsmembers.

6. DisconnectionofInstallationTheMemberretainstheoptiontodisconnectitsInstallationfromGVEC,providedthattheMembernotifiesGVECofitsintentto

disconnectbygivingGVECatleastthirty(30)dayspriorwrittennotice.

GVECshallhavetherighttodisconnectorcausetheMembertodisconnecttheInstallation

andsuspenduseoftheInstallationincaseswherecontinueduseoftheInstallationwill

endangerpersons,property,oraffecttheintegrityoftheGVECDistributionSystem. Itshall

havesolediscretionindeterminingwhethertheInstallationoruseoftheInstallationwill

endangerpersons,propertyoraffecttheintegrityoftheGVECDistributionSystem. Duringa

plannedoutageofGVECservingtheMember,GVECshallhavetherighttosuspenduseofthe

InstallationanddisconnectorcausetheMembertodisconnecttheInstallationtoaffectrepairs

ontheGVECDistributionSystem,butGVECshallmakereasonableefforttoprovidethe

Memberwithpriornotice.

7. NetBillingTheBillingforaMemberunderthiscontractshallreflectthedifferencebetweentheamountbilledundertheratescheduleintheTariffsapplicabletotheMemberandtheratepaidbyGVECtotheMemberforenergyproducedbytheInstallation.

8. PurchaseofEnergybyGVECfromtheInstallationExcessenergyproducedbytheInstallationmaybepurchasedbyGVECatthecurrentGVECrenewableenergyrate.

9. CurrentRate AtthetimeoftheexecutionofthiscontractthecurrentrateGVECiscurrentlypayingforexcessenergyproducedbyanInstallationis__________. Saidrate

issubjecttochangeinaccordancewithitem8above.

10.EffectiveTermandTerminationRightsThisContractbecomeseffectivewhenexecutedbybothpartiesandshallcontinueineffectuntilterminated.ThisContract

maybeterminatedasfollows:(a)TheMembermayterminatethisContractatanytime

bygivingGVECatleastsixty(60)dayspriorwrittennotice;(b)GVECmayterminate

uponfailurebytheMembertogenerateenergyfromtheInstallationwithinsix(6)

monthsaftercompletionoftheinterconnection;(c)GVECmayterminatebygivingthe

Memberatleastsixty(60)dayspriornoticeintheeventthatthereisamaterialchange

inanapplicablelaworanyrequirementof GVECswholesaleelectricsuppliersorofany

transmissionutility,independentsystemoperator,orregionaltransmission

organization

having

responsibility

for

the

operation

of

any

part

of

GVEC.
