Replacement procedures for replacing Mouting Plate Assy and Roller/Upper Assy BT-CSO

1. SymptomShortly after machine installation (up to 10kp), the inside of the transfer belt areslightly damaged and the line appears to the sub-scan direction (FD, belt conveyance direction) at the corresponding position on the image.

2. CauseThe inside of transfer belt is rubbed with the steel plate and shaft in the transferbelt unit and damaged. The change of transfer conditions at the damaged partappears as line on the image.

3. CountermeasureTo reduce the damage while conveying transfer belt: 1) Contact point of the steel plate with the transfer belt has been changed to roller type. **A03UR7A300 Mouting Plate Assy 2) The shaft has been changed to rotational type with much smoother surface **A03UB50400 Roller /Upper Assy

4. Replacement procedure

Step 1 Remove the transfer belt unit from the process unit.

Step 2 Remove the belt cleaner unit.

Step 3 Remove the separation claw assy..

Step 4 Remove the two springs.

Step 5 Remove the transfer belt from the transfer belt unit(Confirm the service manual for details)

Step 6 Remove the line from the clamps.

Step 7 Remove 6 screws and remove the old type of Mouting Plate Assy.

Step 8 Remove the e-ring and bearing

Step 9 Remove 4 screws and replace to the Roller /Upper Assy(A03UB50400).

Step 10 Replace to the new type of Mouting Plate Assy(A03UR7A300).

Step 11 Reinstall the above parts following the removal steps in reverse.
