Data, September 3 through September 9, 2016, Robinson Landing – Phase 1 (Demolition) Project, Alexandria, Virginia (SSI Job No. 15-1080)
Dear Mr. Muller: Seismic Surveys, Inc. (SSI) is pleased to submit this summary of seismograph measurements at the above referenced project. These services have been provided in accordance with our contract dated July 22, 2016.
Summary of Monitoring Results Instantel® Minimate Plus™ seismographs are installed at seven long-term stations, and one short-term station around the site to measure and record construction and demolition vibrations in Histogram Combo mode. The seismograph locations and maximum vibration levels recorded are summarized in the table below. The seismograph locations are shown in Figure 1 - Monitoring Location Plan (attached) and are documented in the Seismograph Monitoring Equipment Location Plans (SMELPs) included in the Appendix.

The maximum peak particle velocity (PPV) measured from demolition at any conventional dwelling with a PPV threshold of 0.25 in/sec was 0.14 in/sec on September 6, 2016 at approximately 1335 hours. The maximum PPV measured at any historic structure with a PPV threshold of 0.12 in/sec was 0.061 in/sec on September 9, 2016, at approximately 1031 hours. The daily vibration measurements are summarized on the event lists in the Appendix. Any identifiable non-construction related vibration peaks are noted on the event lists. Event Reports for the maximum PPV measurements at each station are also included in the Appendix.
Conclusion
Based on the analysis presented herein, we offer the following conclusion:
• Measured construction related vibrations were about one-half of established project thresholds.

Limitations The vibration measurements taken under this agreement and reported herein were conducted in accordance with current standards of the industry. SSI does not warrant that vibration damage to the premises being monitored will not occur even when readings indicate vibration levels below normally accepted threshold values.
