Report of Premedical Internship Initiative Program held at Ranchi, from 02.01.2016 to 12.01.2016

Success of a program depends upon its pious goal, timely initiation, nice programming, and untiringefforts to materialize it, an auspicious commencement with an ever remembering valedictory and at the top of all remains the blessings of great persons in the background.

The grand success of recently completed “Premedical Internship Initiative Program” (PIIP) is a brilliant example. The pious goal of the program was “To connect west to East” (as per version of Dr. Veena Gandhi).

It was initiated well in advance on 23.04.2015 by Dr. Veena Gandhi, the chairperson of Health Foundation for Rural India (HFRI) at USA, when she acquainted us with her intension of holding PIIP through an email to us. On our positive response, we together under the able leadership of Dr. Mukul Bhatia started working on it and finely could finalize a program, which basically consisted of bringing Ranchi, 9 American NRI Premedical students in her company for 10 days long study tour from 2nd Jan 2016 to 12th Jan 2016. (The list of their Names enclosed attachment no 1)

The study schedule was planned as to make them acquainted of all possible aspects of Health Care Delivery System in Jharkhand with a focus on contribution of our ArogyaYojana of EkalAbhiyan, likehealth care delivery system in rural Jharkhand, Corporate Hospitals, and Charity Trust Hospital. Rajendra Institute of Medical Science and also a glimpse of Indian systemof medicine. This required much persuasion and efforts to mobilize the persons concerned for granting permission of entry in their respective hospitals/place, and to our surprise they ultimately offered full co-operation in a decent way (Dr. Veena Gandhi pronounced it as RamKripa for an Ishwaria cause).Salient points of program which finally materialized are detailedbelow:-

6. To sum up I can confidently say that the program was conducted in an excellent manner under the noble guidance of Dr. Mukul Bhatia and with a whole hearted support and co-operation of the whole team as well as the persons who were requested. We hope that it must have served the

purpose for which it was intended. But however we are expressing our apology for the short comings. This great success of the program would not have been achieved without the blessings of great stalwarts and planners sitting in the central team and at the top of all ManniyaShyamji.
