Employment is the main focus for any country/society/college, particularly engineering college.

Because just to give the best education or training to the students is not enough. The system has to

provide platform to the students to implement & explore their skill in professional field.

SardarVallabhbhai Patel Education Society managed Faculty of Engineering Technology and Research

(FETR) and N.G.Patel Polytechnic is situated on Bardoli – Narvsari Road, BardoliDist: Surat. The

instate has Committed to achieve, maintain and continuously improve technical excellence, ethical

values and overallDevelopment of student's community.

We believe that the responsibility of the institution is beyond giving the education to students to qualify

their academic with flying colors. We take additional responsibility to support them in making a right

start of their career. In our desire to help them in this aspect we have jointly organize “Job Fair – 2017”

with National Career Service, Directorate of Employment & Training, Model Career Centre, Surat&

Board of Apprenticeship Training (Wr), Mumbai on 31st Jan.2017, at our campus. The Job fair was not

only for Diploma/Degree engineering students but also for MBA , MCA ,B.Sc, BCA ITI students.

More than 2500 students have registered online and around 450 students have registered through on spot

registration facility. 30 industries have participated in Job Fair – 2017.

On the day of job fair, registration of the students was started early in the morning, Registration desks

were according to the field that is diploma, degree engineering,BCA,ITI,B.Sc..Companies also started

coming early in the morning.Companies were given particular location of FETR building’s various

wing’s rooms. A list of companies and its requirement was displayed near registration desk. So that

students can identify their choice of company.

Inauguration:

At 10:00 o’clock, inauguration function was started. Dignitaries from SGPC , SEVA, SETU,

employment exchange and management of the college facilitate the stage.

Before the inauguration function, Mr. RajbirsinghSaini, Vice President HR – Reliance Hazira conducted

a session for the candidates regarding to GD & Interview skill. Parallel to the inauguration,officers from

HDFC conducted a session of cashless transaction.

Recruitment Process:

We have provided all facilities to the industries for conducting their recruitment process. The process of

recruitment was varying industries to industries, most of industry representatives have followed all their

process like written test, Group Discussion, Personal Interviews etc.
