Report text is a text which presents information about something, as it is. It is as

a result of systematic observation and analysis

Sebuah teks yang menggambarkan tentangsemua hal yang berkaitan dengan sebuah benda

secara umum. Teks ini biasanya dirujuk darisebuah hasil penelitian dan analisis yang

sistematis.

DEFINITION

SOCIAL FUNCTION

The purpose of a report text is to present information about something generally. It generally describes the way things are with reference to arrange of natural,

man- made and social phenomenon in our environment, such as: mammals, the planets, rocks, plants, countries of region, cultures, transportations,

and so on .

Tujuan report text adalah untuk menyampaikaninformasi tentang sesuatu secara umum. Informasiyang dijelaskan dalam report text, biasanya bersifat

umum, baik itu alamiah ataupun buatan. Seperti; binatang mamalia, planet, batu, tumbuhan, negara,

budaya, transportasi dan lain sebagainya.

GENERIC STRUCTURE

General ClassificationA general classification is a part that state classification of general aspect of things, such as: animals, public places, plants, etc. It will be discussed in general.

DescriptionThis part gives describing of the things which will be discussed in detail, in terms of: parts (and their function), qualities, habits and behavior.

The largest kangaroos are the Great Grey Kangaroo and the RedKangaroo. Adult grow to a length of 1.60 meters and weigh over 90 kilos.

Kangaroos are marsupials. This means that the female kangaroo hasan external pouch on the front of her body. A baby kangaroo is very tinywhen it is born, and it crawls at once into this pouch where it spends itsfirst five months of life.

A tornado is a violent rotating column of airextending from a thunderstorm to the ground. Themost violent tornadoes are capable of tremendousdestruction with wind speeds of up to 300 mph. Theycan destroy large buildings, uproot trees and hurlvehicles hundreds of yards. They can also drive strawinto trees. Damage paths can be in excess of one milewide to 50 miles long. In an average year, 1000tornadoes are reported nationwide.

Tornadoes can happen at any time of the yearand at anytime of the day. In the southern states, peaktornado season is from March through May. Peaktimes for tornadoes in the northern states are duringthe summer. A few southern states have a secondpeak time for tornado outbreaks in the fall. Tornadoesare most likely to occur between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m.
