Reported speech
John said that Jack was there.
Fred said he worked on Mondays.

Simple past – Past Perfect
Michael said “I studied for 5 hours yesterday.”
Reported speech Michael said he had studied for 5
hours the day before.
Simple Future – Conditional(WOULD) Bill said” I´ll go to Germany next
month”.Reported speech Bill said he would go to Germany
the following month.
Present Continuous- Past Continuous
They said “ We are winning”.Reported speech They said they were winning.
Past Progressive- Past Perfect Progressive
Ana said “Jane was reading my books.”
Reported speech Ana said Jane had been reading
her books.
Future Progressive- Conditional Progressive
I said”I will be having dinner “Reported speech I said I would be having dinner.
Present Perfect- Past Perfect
Jim said “ She´s lived here since last year”.
Reported speech Jim said She had lived there since
the previous year .
Future Perfect- Conditional Perfect
Alice said” They will have finished the house tomorrow”.
Reported speech Alice said they would have finished
the house the following day.
