conducive to large scale gatherings .As festivals promote diversity ,they increase creativity, they offer

opportunities for civic pride, they improve our general psychological well-being. In short they make

cities better places to live. This festival includes cooking competition, fancy bird show, musical

programme, magic show, games for children. Apart from this site several stalls were arranged for

visitors.

Food stalls ,mainly consisted of chicken products, which

attracted the general public of Lahore to pepole enjoy the food

cooked of different variety of chicken and egg dishes. The festival th thwas organized for two days i.e 10 & 11 april 2015.Our Chief

Guest Mr Naseem Sadiq secretary livestock and dairy

development department inaugurated the “POULTRY FOOD

FESTIVAL 2015”. After that he

also visited the cooking

competition and all places of

the festival. During his speech he said that poultry industry of

Pakistan is contributing a lot to provide affordable animal protein to

the masses. He showed his satisfaction over organization of festival.

He added in his speech that the festival is so successful that we

should celebrate such events twice or thrice a year. Such activities

are very healthy for the general public. He also appreciated the

other activities in the food festival arranged by PPA like Musical

Show, Magic show ,Fancy bird show , Cooking competition ,Games

for children Housing system of broiler and layer

Dr. Muhammad Mustafa Kamal said that chicken is full of proteins

and nutritional values. The protein in chicken lends itself to muscle

growth and development. Protein is very essential for every

human being growing children. It prevents us from diseases which

occur in old age.

Poultry Food Festival Ends on a great run

Fancy bird show proved to

be very attractive part for the

children. Charles James quote:-“ No one is free ,even the birds

are chained to the sky .If I had to choose ,I would rather have

birds than airplanes. Their fine feathers make them look more

beautiful.Fancy bird show was continuously being visited by all

age groups. People (visitors) felt very pleasant, while visiting the

stall of Fancy Birds of different kinds.

Dr. Tanvir Ahmad Anwar, President Pakistan Medical Association (Punjab) in his address informed the

public that local Poultry Products are that of International Standard & Their nutritional Value is no less

than European products. After Keenly observing the life cycle of chicken stall in Festival he declared

that the Poultry Feed used in the country is mainly make of Maize, Wheat, Soybean & other natural

contents which are good for human health. He rejected the misconception & propaganda that

steroids & hormones are added in Poultry Feed.

He Said that chicken & Eggs are among the best healthy foods & these are available in Pakistan at

highly reasonable price. It is recommended that people must be use as much Poultry Products as they

can. He appreciated the PPA( North )for organizing this festival which provided awareness to public

about Poultry Products & Sector in Pakistan.

Chancellor UVAS were the guest of Honor different events of the Festival.

Chicken items and products ready to cook and fully cooked BBQ were soled at 25% discount rates.

Which made the people and visitors more attracted. Huge quantity of food was soled at discount rates.

Eggs were soled at 50% discount rates due to which thousands of eggs were soled per day .This festival

gives the chance to buy chicken and eggs at subsidized rates to every visitor.

Stall of PPA was organized by PPA staff members, at which information about the poultry products

especially the broiler, ingredients of Feed, Literature about protein profile of chicken and eggs was

displayed. A very comprehensive documentary recorded on production chain of poultry products was

kept on displaying on LCD in front of the PPA stall. For information of the people to know how we

produce broiler & table eggs. Well qualified doctors remained present on the PPA stall to answer the

questions of visitors.
