    Basic Installation Instructions

    Due to high RAM requirements, Panduit strongly recommends that theSmartZone DCIM Reports module be installed on a separate server from theSmartZone DCIM.

    Installing SmartZone ReportsQlikView must be installed using the QlikView Installer prior to running the Panduit SZReports installer. If QlikView is not installed (or not installed correctly), the Panduit SZReports installer will abort. The supported QlikView version is QlikView Server 11.20SR 17. If a different version is installed, a warning is provided.

    Install QlikView1. Download QV 11.20 SR 17 from the QlikView site: http://us-d.demo.q-

    lik.com/download

    The previous SZ Reports installer deployed with QlikView Server 11.20 SR 12. Thenecessary installation file depends on the target’s operating system.

    Operating System InstallerWindows 2012 Server and later QlikViewServer_Win2012andUp.msi

    Windows 2008 Server QlikViewServerx64.msi

    2. Use the downloaded installer to install QlikView. You may need to reboot.

    3. Verify the five QlikView windows services are running.

    4. Add the Local Windows group.

    l Right-click the Windows Start button.l Select Computer Management.l Navigate to System Tools | Local Users and Groups | Groups.l Add the following group and member:

    Note: In this document, the QlikView Management Console is referred to as QVMC.

    5. Check the status on the QlikView license.l Open QVMC.l Navigate to Status | Services.l Service QVS@ may show Unlicensed.

    Note: If you are using Internet Explorer, the browser may display the following message:

    As a workaround, install Google Chrome. QVMC runs more reliably with Chrome.

    6. Apply the license (if needed).l Navigate to System | Licenses | QlikView Server | QlikView Server License.l Enter the license info for the license, for example:

    l Serial number: 1008310567591014l Control: 10299l Name (anything): Buddyl Organization (anything): Panduit

    l Click Apply License.

    When you have entered the license, you may see the tab change from QlikView ServerLicense to QlikView OEM Server License.

    WARNING: QlikView might fail to apply a license if the computer name exceeds 12 char-acters in length. The host name should not be longer than 12 characters, contain onlyLain characters, and the symbol “_“.https://community.qlik.com/thread/54519

    The document CALs contain the users with access to each report. See "DocumentCALs" on page 36 for more information.

    7. Configure the assigned users.l Navigate to System | Licenses | QlikView OEM Server | Client Access Licenses(CALs).

    l Click the icon of two people.l Enter the user. You may need to use the manual input of user names text box.l Click OK.

    You should see the user under the Assigned CALs. If the user is in domain, you mustuse the domain user. If the user is not in domain, you can use a local user for localaccess.

    8. Click Apply.9. You may need to restart the Windows services.

    l Open the QVMC site.l Navigate to System | Setupl Navigate to Management Service | QlikViewWeb Servers | QVWS@.

    l The General tab provides various options, like Use https.l DON’T change it yet… Just note that this is where the setting is configured.

    At this point, you have applied the license and users. You can now install SmartZoneReports.

    Install SmartZone Reports1. If you are installing from a physical DVD, insert the SmartZone Reports DVD into

    the disc drive.

    If you are installing from a downloaded .ISO file, mount the installation .ISO file onthe destination server.

    Note: When installing the SmartZone Reports module from a mounted .ISO file, the.ISO file must be local. Installation via a remote .ISO file is not supported.

    2. View the file listing for the DVD or .ISO. This may be done by choosing to view thefiles from the autorun window, or by navigating to the file listing.

    Some PCs may have autorun disabled. If the installation Introduction screen doesnot appear, use the Run application in the Start menu to browse for the disc in thedisc drive and double-click on the install.exe file.

    3. Choose the appropriate language, and click the OK button to continue. The Intro-duction windows displays.

    4. Click Next to begin the installation program. The Choose Install Folder window dis-plays.

    5. The default folder is C:\Program Files\Panduit SZ Reports. To change to a differentdestination folder, click Choose, select the desired folder fromWindows Explorer.and then click Next. To accept the default folder, simply click Next. The ChooseShortcut Folder window displays.

    6. Select where you want the product icon to reside, and click Next. The QlikViewInstall window displays. If QlikView is not already installed on the server, click theInstall QlikView check box. Then opt to either accept the default installation folder,or click Choose to select a different folder. In the Service User Name field, enterthe name of the user performing the installation, and then enter the Service UserPassword for that user. If possible, enter the credentials of a user whose passwordnever expires. If the user password will expire, see "Run QlikView Services AfterResetting Password" on page 26. The Service User Name and Password arerequired for running QlikView Services.

    Note: If QlikView is already installed on this server, the checkbox should be uncheckedand other settings on this window cannot be entered. Also, the following windowsregarding the QlikView License will not display.

    7. Click Next to bring up the QlikView Server License window. Enter information inthe following fields based on your QlikView Server License.

    l User Name: The user name on the license.

    l Company Name: The company name on the license. The installationprocess verifies that the serial number matches your company.

    l Serial Number: The 16-digit QlikView serial number.l Control Number: The 5-digit QlikView control number.

    8. Click Next. A second QlikView Server License window displays.

    9. Here you can choose to specify the License Enabler File (LEF). To do so, click theSpecify LEF check box and enter the LEF file location.

    10. Click Next. The QlikView Security Settings window displays.

    11. Click the Use External SSL Certificate check box if you wish to use a real cer-tificate issued by an external Certificate Authority, and then click Choose to selectthe path name to the Server Certificate. If you want to use a self-signed certificate,leave this check box unchecked. A self-signed certificate will be generated andbound to the website. Then click Next. The QlikView Connection Settings windowdisplays.

    *Note: If you use a self-signed SSL certificate, you may have trouble displaying embed-ded reports. To solve this problem, open a new tab in the same browser, accesshttps://10.74.63.13/QvAJAXZfc/GetTicket.aspx, and accept the security exception.Ignore any request for a login/password.

    12. Populate the Connection Settings fields.

    13. Click Next. The Reports Settings window displays.

    14. As needed, enter the days to report and select the reports language and currency.Then click Next. The Database Settings window displays.

    16. Click Next. The Pre-Installation Summary window displays.

    *WARNING: With larger databases, there might be an issue with one of the processesrunning and never finishing if the Days to Report field is set to the default of 365. To pre-vent this from happening, change this field's value to a shorter amount of days.

    If the problem occurs despite changing the Days to Report, change the MaxHis-toryDaysCount configuration in the SZ-ERM-Config.xml file to a smaller number of days.Remove all .qvd files from the QVD folder and remove the SZ-ERM-Detailed-Data-ETL-Runtime.csv file. Then trigger a reports reload.

    17. Review the information presented and ensure the data is correct. If you need tochange any of the information, click the Previous button. Otherwise, click Install .The installation begins. When the installation process finishes, the Install Com-plete window displays.

    18. Using the radio buttons, choose whether or not to restart your system. Then clickDone to end the installation program.

    19. Before using SmartZone Reports, restart the system. The qvs-configurer runs auto-matically and configures the Report server.

    Applying a Self-Signed CertificateNote: Self-signed certificates should not be used in the production environment.

    Note: When QlikView is installed, a self-signed certificate is generated using the hostname (computer name). In all browsers, except for Firefox, the QlikView URL will con-tain the computer name of the QlikView machine, but not its IP address. It is ok if in Fire-fox computer name is used. In SmartZone, the QlikView URL also should be specifiedusing the computer name.

    Internet ExplorerTo add the QlikView URL to trusted sites:

    1. Go to Internet Options in Internet Explorer.2. Go to Security tab.3. Select Trusted sites.4. Click the Sites button.5. Add site to trusted.

    If access to Trusted Sites is forbidden by group policy, the Network Administrator shouldperform the following steps:

    1. Browse to QlikView server (using “getticket” URL for example)2. Click the Certificate Error text in the top of the screen and select View

    certificates.

    3. In the Certificate dialog, click Install Certificate -> Next.4. Select Place all certificates in the following store -> Browse.

    5. Check Show Physical Stores check box.6. Select Trusted Root Certificate Authorities.7. Click OK –> Next –> Finish –>OK.8. Restart Internet Explorer.

    Google ChromeGoogle Chrome cannot install a certificate by URL. It uses Windows certificates.

    Perform the steps above for Internet Explorer on the Internet Explorer browser. InternetExplorer will install a certificate to the Windows store.

    Restart the Google Chrome browser.

    Firefox1. Go to Options -> Advanced -> Certificates -> View Certificates.2. Go to Servers tab.3. Click Add Exception.4. Specify the QV URL (do not remote the protocol).5. Click Get Certificate.6. Click Confirm Security Exception.

    Run QlikView Services After Resetting PasswordIf the password of the Service User you designated during installation expires, reset thepassword and perform the following steps for every service.

    1. OpenWindows Services and navigate to QlikView Services.

    2. Right-click QlikView Services and select Properties from the drop-down menu.

    3. The QlikView Directory Service Connector Properties window displays. Click theLog On tab.

    4. Set the new password for the QlikView user. Click Apply, and then click OK.5. Run the QlikView Services, starting with the QlikView Server service.

    Note: When uninstalling QlikView, make sure QlikView firewall entries are removed.You will have to manually delete the stale entries before re-installing Qlik.

    Uninstalling SmartZone ReportsIf you need to uninstall SmartZone Reports, perform the following steps.

    1. From the Windows Programs menu select Control Panel -> Programs -> Unin-stall a program.

    2. Click Next on the Uninstall Panduit SZ Reports screen.

    3. On the Uninstall QlikView screen, select the Uninstall QlikView check box andclick Uninstall.

    SmartZone DCIM Reports ConfigurationAfter installing Reports, open the QlikView Management Console and perform the fol-lowing steps.

    1. Click the System tab.2. Expand QlikView Web Servers and select the QVWS file.

    3. Click the General tab.

    4. Change the Port to 443, and select the Use https check box.5. Click Apply.

    To set up the Reports Server, perform the following steps.

    1. Open the SmartZone DCIM portal.2. Log in as the System Administrator.

    3. Navigate to Admin ->System Configuration->Interfacing Servers.

    4. Enter the appropriate information in the Reporting Services section.l Host Name/IP Address: The SmartZone Reports Server Host Name, FQDN,or IP Address.

    l User Name: User account name used by the Reports Configurator to con-nect to the QlikView server.

    l Password: User account password used by the Reports Configurator to con-nect to the QlikView server.

    5. Click Save.

    Note: User Name and Password are case sensitive.

    The first time you launch reports after installation and setup, enter the following URL inyour browser:

    https://[IP Address]/QvAJAXZfc/GetTicket.aspx

    where IP Address equals your the SmartZone QlikView Server IP Address.

    Accept the security exception, and ignore any request for a login/password.

    Document CALsTypically, customers are provided with User CALs.

    However, sometimes customers are provided with Document CALs. This type of licenserequires additional settings. One document CAL and a user, which SmartZone uses tocommunicate with QlikView, should be assigned to each document.

    Reports OverviewAccess ReportsTo access the Reports suite, click the Reports module button on the main toolbar ofSmartZone DCIM.

    The list of all SmartZone reports displays. Click on the desired report to view it on theSmartZone screen.

    Access Reports in Internet ExplorerPrior to viewing SmartZone Reports in an IE browser, perform the following steps in IE:

    1. Go to Tools-->Internet Options.2. Select the Security tab3. Click Trusted Sites (or Local Intranet depending on whether your site is trusted

    or not).4. Click on Custom Level.5. Ensure that Initialize and script active x controls is not marked safe for script-

    ing is enabled.6. Click OK, and then OK again.7. After completing these steps, clear the browser cookies and cache.8. Close all your browser sessions.9. Reopen IE to launch your site.

    SmartZone DCIM ReportsThis overview lists new reports, newly consolidated reports, and deleted reports for theSmartZone DCIM 7 Series.

    New ReportsThe following reports have been added to the SmartZone DCIM 7 Series from DCiQ.

    l Power Capacity: Shows the capacity by kW at Rack Level and Room Level,power consumption, and available power.

    l Power Usage: Shows the most recent power usage data in kVA, kW, or kWh.

    l Power Profile: Shows hourly trends for the most recent 30-days of data.

    l Power Ranking: By default, this repoort shows the Top 10 and Bottom 10 racks interms of power usage as measured in kVA, kW, or kWH. You can change the num-ber of racks to display.

    l Environmental Performance: Shows the most recent readings, with maximumand minimum values, of the locations and types of sensors (temperature, humidity,or dew point) selected for the report.

    l UPS Capacity: Provides summary information for each UPS, including Load Capa-city and Battery Status. Note that not all information may be available for eachUPS.

    l UPS Usage: Shows the most recent UPS usage data in kVA or kW.

    l Power Chain View: Shows trend data for various Power Chain measurements inkWH, kW, or kVA.

    l Cooling Usage & Capacity: Shows the most recent cooling data in kWH, kW, orkVA.

    l Energy Performance: Shows the most recent energy performance as measuredin CO2/Kg or kWH.

    l Cost Analysis: Shows the total energy cost by building, room, rack group, rack, orrack PDU.

    l Executive Summary: Provides an Energy Summary in kWH, kW, or kVA, and aset of key measures, including PUE calculations.

    Consolidated ReportsIn the SmartZone DCIM 7 Series, several existing reports have been consolidated into asmaller number of top-level reports.

    Cabinet Capacity Report

    The Cabinet Capacity Report Shows container capacity in all locations for Assets, Con-nectivity, Cooling, and Power. The report is a consolidation of the following:

    l Security, access control: This report shows the user group privileges for differentSmartZone modules.

    l Pressure, water, smokel kW, Watt, Voltl Space and Connectivity Available Report: This report shows the current avail-ability count for the following:

    o Switch Portso PViQ Portso Passive Portso Rack Spaceo DPoE Ports

    l Space and Connectivity Consumption Report: This report shows the currentuse count for the following:

    o Switch Portso PViQ Portso Passive Portso Rack Spaceo DPoE Ports

    l Space, Power and Connectivity Consumption Report: This report shows thecurrent use count for the following:

    o Switch Portso PViQ Portso Passive Portso Rack Spaceo DPoE Portso Power

    l Nameplate Power [Watts] and Current [Amps] by Rack Report

    Port Usage Report

    The Port Usage Report is a consolidation of the following:l Detail PViQ utilization Report: This report shows the capacity (percentage) ofports in a PViQ panel. This report can be run on a location, rack/cabinet, or singlePViQ copper panel.

    l PViQ Port utilization Report: This report shows the number and percentage ofports utilized in a PViQ panel. This report can be run for a user-selected location.

    l Switch Port utilization Report: This report shows the switch ports that are not util-ized (that is, no link-up detected) for a user selected timeframe for a location, con-tainer, or single device. This report helps the user identify available switch ports.

    All Assets All Attributes Report

    The All Assets All Attributes Report is a consolidation of the following:

    l All Asset-All Attributes Report: This report displays the attributes of all assetsmeeting the search criteria – Location, Scope, Group, and Unit.

    l Asset Age Report: This report displays a list of all assets older than the selectedNumber of Years parameter.

    l Asset Barcode Report: This report displays the Asset Number, Asset Name, andAsset Category of barcoded devices.

    l Asset Expiration Report: This report provides a list of leased assets and theirrespective lease expiration dates.

    l Weight Capacity Report: This report lists the weight of each selected device on aper rack basis. The weight displayed is the value entered through the PIM AssetTracking module.

    l Asset Inventory by Device Type: This report lists all the devices meeting theselection criteria, including Manufacturer Name and Model Type per location.

    l Unreconciled Devices: This report lists all devices that have not been reconciledby the SmartZone DCIM Asset Tracking module.

    Discontinued ReportsThe following PIM reports were discontinued in the SmartZone DCIM 7 Series.

    l Unused PViQ Cross-Connect Patch Cord Devicel Rack Allocation by Device Type Summaryl Power Consumption by POUl Power Density Reportl Power Specification Reportl Power Status Detailsl Top Five Power Consuming devices report

    Using ReportsWhen you select a report from the drop-down menu, a screen like the following exampledisplays, laid out with the following sections:

    l Selection Criterial Current Selectionsl Display Area

    Selection CriteriaThe far-left column of the display shows the selection criteria that you will use to cus-tomize the data displayed for each report.

    Note: If no criteria selections are made, the report will display all available data.

    The check boxes under the Current Selections pane on the left are color-coded, basedon each item's association with the selected criteria.

    l Green: Selected criteria.l White: Related to the selected criteria.l Gray: Unrelated to the selected criteria.

    Reports may be customized based on:l Location: The list of countries, cities, buildings and rooms available for reporting.The selections for the fields below will change dynamically based on your choiceof location or locations you choose here.

    l Container and Device Types: The Container and Device Type options varyaccording to the report selected. You can make one or more selections from theavailable options to narrow the scope of your report. The selections available arelimited to those containers and devices within the locations you selected above.

    l Time Period: Available for all reports except for Port Usage and Cabinet Capacity.You can select the time period to report on, for example, Today, This Week, ThisMonth, This Year, etc.

    l Connection Status: Available for Port Usage Report only. Filter your report byone or more connection statuses.

    l License Area: Available for Cabinet Capacity report only. Filter your report resultsbased on areas covered by one or more licenses, including, Space, Connectivity,Power, etc.

    To filter the search criteria available for selection, click the next to the desired criteriacategory. A text field will display above the category.

    Enter the text you on which you want to filter the criteria options. The options will reduceto those that match the text you entered.

    To return to a display of all records, click the Clear Selections button at the top of theselection criteria pane. To move to a later criteria selection, click the > button. To go tothe previous criteria selection, click the < button.

    Display AreaOnce the selection criteria is chosen, the Display Area graphically presents the datausing pre-formatted charts and tables. The Display Area will dynamically update basedon the Selection Criteria. If the selected criteria generates no data (for example, if youchoose a Time Period for which no data was collected) a message stating No Data Avail-able will display.

    You can further filter results by clicking on a cell in the data table. In the example below,Panduit Corp. is selected in the Manufacturer column.

    The report shows only those records that have Panduit Corp. as the Manufacturer, and agreen box displays on the Manufacturer column header, indicating that the results arefiltered on a value in this column.

    Print

    Note: The Print option is available only for reports in table format.Click the icon in the upper right corner of the window to print the report. The followingwindow displays.

    If the content does not display in another window, click Press Here. The report will dis-play in a new tab in your browser, as in the example below. Right-click in the windowand select Print.

    Send to MS ExcelClick the icon in the upper right corner of the window to export the report to an MS Excelspreadsheet. The following window displays.

    If the Excel spreadsheet does not display in another window, click Press Here. Thespreadsheet file icon will display at the bottom of your screen, as in the example below.

    Maximize Report Chart SizeNote: The Maximize option is available only for reports in chart format.

    To maximize a chart within a report, click the icon in the upper right corner next to thechart. To return the chart to its original size, click the icon in the upper right cornernext to the chart.
