Katniss Everdeen- The Hunger Games• Outfit: before the arena- camouflage trousers and a tan coloured leather jacket, suggests that

she goes outdoors a lot and likes to be hidden. In the arena- black water-proof jacket, dark green trousers and biker boots, although every tribute is made to wear this outfit it also suggests outdoors involvement and being hidden from view. When she obtains a bow and arrow in the arena it is always by her side and one of the main things associated with her as she knows how to shoot. Her signature golden mocking-jay pin makes her stand out from the other tributes and suggests goodness and bravery

• Setting: District 12 (her home) is a poor area with depleted old buildings. There are woods outside District 12 where she hunts to sell her game for money for her family, though this is considered illegal. Her tough environment links to her tough nature and the fact she is willing to break the law highlights her bravery. The Capitol- Katniss is very out of place in the extravagant and luxurious Capitol as she comes from the poorest area of Panem and has never seen luxury like that before in her life. The arena- the arena for the 74th Annual Hunger Games is forest themed. This is heavily significant as Katniss has spent her whole life in the forest and she knows how to hunt so she has a head start

• Words associated with Katniss Everdeen: tribute, victor, hero, killer, friend, romantic interest

Regina George- Mean Girls. Outfit: an example of one of her outfits are high heels, a short pink skirt and a tank top. This suggests that she is popular by wearing high heels to stand tall over other people and by wearing revealing clothing she is not afraid to show off her body. The fact that she is wearing pink suggests that she is very feminine. Setting: Regina George is seen in a high school and her home. High schools have lots of associations because of the vast variety of people that attend them. But for Regina George high school is shown to be her kingdom. She walks down the wide, open corridor like she owns the school and people make way for her and her friends. Her large, fancy home reflects her popular personality and her bedroom is all pink to emphasize her femininity . Words associated with Regina George: popular, pretty, back-stabbing, mean

Voldemort- Harry Potter• Outfit: Voldemort wears a black robe. Perhaps this is used to symbolise his dark nature. He is

also never seen without his wand, which is dark and cruel like his nature (until he obtains the elder wand in the seventh film)

• Setting: Voldemort is usually seen in dark and gloomy and remote locations like the graveyard in the fourth film and the woods in the seventh at night time etc. This too reflect his dark nature because night time is stereotypically when evil things happen and the fact that his locations are remote makes Harry look more vulnerable. You can often tell that the location Voldemort is in is cold because you can see his breath so this could mirror his cold heart

• Words associated with Voldemort: He Who Must Not Be Named, the Dark Lord, evil, sadistic, uncaring, unforgiving
