Data on revelation and placement of street children

Every year we reveal about 10 thousand street children among whom:

• 10% go back to their families

• 60% are resigned under guardianship (kinship), adoption, patronat

• 25% are put into institutions

Family support services

Objective – protection of rights, rendering of timely assistance to children who require state protection, including orphaned children, children deprived of parental care, children in difficult reality situation, their parents and foster homes; realization of the right or children for upbringing in a family

Tasks:• Provision of complex approach in solving

problems of children requiring state protection

• Formation of data base on children, foster homes, blood families, families from risk groups

• Preventive and rehabilitation work with family and child in order to reunite the child with his/her blood family

• Development of family forms to place children deprived of parental care

• Preventive work with families from risk groups in order to maintain family for a child

• Creation of child friendly environment in children’s homes

• Public information about forms of placement and possibilities to take a child into a family
