In celebration of the 60 th Public Library Day, the NLP in collaboration with the Puerto Princesa City Library (PPCL) and National Commission for Culture and the Arts - National Committee on Library and Information Services (NCCA-NCLIS) will hold a 4-day National Conference of Librarians at Citystate Asturias Hotel Palawan, South National Highway, Tiniguiban, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan on March 18-21, 2019. Anchored on the theme: “Libraries CLICK as Space for Customers, Learning and Research, Innovations, Community Engagement and Knowledge Creation”, the conference has the following objectives to the participants: 1. Provide knowledge and trends on Customers, Learning and Research, Innovations, Community Engagement and Creation of Knowledge that will assist them in making their libraries click to the community they served; 2. Strengthen awareness and provide public librarians/library in-charge the opportunity to share their innovative and unique library programs and services which could be replicated; 3. Inspire them through the testimonies of local chief executives who supported in carrying out public libraries’ plans, programs and activities; and, 4. Confer awards and recognition to deserving public librarians and library in-charge in the country as a highlight activity in commemorating the 60 th Public Library Day. Target participants of this Conference are public librarians, library-in-charge, librarians, information professionals, reading center in-charge, library staff, local government officials, LGU administrators, Library and Information Science students, and other interested individuals.
